u need to figure out the rise in elevation from the creek to the plants. With this verticle measurement u can check the rise against what the pump is capable of, usually will tell you on box or in the instructions. Most household types of pumps only have a 4-5 ft verticle rise. anything more than that u will need an agricultural pump. good luck

its going take a quality hand pump though, 75 yards is a long way to be pumpin water through a garden hose, quite a bit of pressure there..

Is it all uphill from the creek to your plants? I use a gas-powered pump for the same type of situation. It wasn't cheap, and the hose wasn't particularly cheap either, but it will fill a 55 gallon barrel in about 40 seconds and hardly uses any gas. It's also nice to have around when I'm having a bonfire.

Whichever pump you choose, keep the intake hose short and the outlet long for it to work properly. Make sure to run some type of strainer on the intake to protect the pump as well.
