Bro if u had hps your shit would be double in size and mayb more potent! I would like to do a test side by side comparison. See if ur right. But for now i can only speculate.
By the way they look a bit airybongsmilie
HPS grows some big buds but I think it's because of the IR radiation that heats the leaves. LED grown buds aren't usually that big but they're much more dense and certainly more resinous - at least in my experience. I'm not going to argue but the photos don't do LEDs the justice.

@Greengenes707 did some testing on potency if I am not mistaken.

And in the end I agree that current commercial LED fixtures won't pay themselves. But DIY is an another story.

dude are you seriously trying to fuck up his grow? lets see some pics. These pics were taken 9-8-2015 only 4 plants. 1 Blue Kripple and 3 HSO Blue Dream in a 4x4 tent only running 372 watts which I can turn them up to 840 watts it's 2 panels 420-423 watts each tested with a kill a watt meter. I was working so I couldn't drop pics in here to make the HPS guys shut the fuck up. I've used hps commercially. Saturday will be day 1 of week 7 of flower.

I need to take some closeups of the SLH nugs. Pure sugar.

What size area and will you be using AC?So I can answer your question properly
144 ft² @824 PPfD, yes, it's climate controlled. I tend to run higher RH than most, which means I run a bit higher EC. I'm just looking for a starting point.

They guy who told me to bump my EC for the 860W CDM lamps was on point, that's why I figured I'd ask you the same thing about these.

Thank you!
