What Lighting Setup for Flowering?

My question is about lighting. I have been growing a plant for aboput a month now. at first i just planted a seed and left in a pot outside for the first 3weeks and then i read about growing indoor plants do i brought some CFL lightbulbs 26watt 2700k 2 of them.
For the first 2 weeks the plant did grow, but then again i read about using 26wattCFL with 6500k will help with VEG. so i got me 4 CFL 26watt 6500k. Now i think it is time for my plant to flower but was wondering if i should use the 26watt 2700k only or mix the 6500k and 2700k for flowering.

And my other question is does anyone think this plant is rdy to flower?
i want to flower it but what do i need to know and what lights to use?

get as many as you can use, get some Y adapters and you can run more lights off the same number of sockets. I would go with 6 at least if not more. Are you growing in a cabinet?

You can flower when ever you choose, depending on the strain, they can double or triple in size so keep that in mind. if allowed to get too tall before you flip the switch to 12/12, you could run into space issues depending on your grow op.

Depends on how many bulbs you are running. Those 26w are good for small grows. I set up a small grow using 12 of them mounted to sockets for 4 plants. Each bulb has a lumen rating. Around 1700 for those bulbs I think. You want at least 5000 lumens per plant, so 3 or four would be getting into optimal territory. Out of the 12 bulbs, 2 of them are 6500k, so I am running a 1/6th ratio. Maybe put 3 in a triangle with one in the middle being a 6500k and you should have a pretty even spectrum. Either way, I would choose more bulbs over a mixed spectrum.
The cab with 12 bulbs yields the growers standard or .5 watts per grow.

Pictures of his first grow. 1/6th ratio seems to work great!

Lovely First grow man, I am starting off a lil smaller than that for now. As of right now i only have that 1 plant. if i had more to worry about i think they would all die.
here are some pic from my 2nd try at growing

For one plant I still would suggest (6) 23 watts, or get a larger bulb. Im flowering one short rider with (3) 42 watt bulbs, it's almost finished.

You must insure that there are no light leaks during thier 12 hour dark cycle. More then a few lumens will cause the growth to be hindered and possible will cause the plant to hermi. If you can get into the nook space, close the door for 15 minutes and can still see light, then it needs to be further sealed. I know its kind of claustrophobic to sit in that nook, but no light during the cycle is just as important as h2o, nutrients, air, or any other part of taking care of the plant

Looks great so far! Just remember to give them at least 5000 lumens per plant. Anything more then that is going to be better, unless you start having heat problems!

so about how much taller will my plant get when flowers cause of right now i am limited on grow space until i can build a new box, my main goal is to grow small bansi plant that yield big buds.
another question when flowering keep light all around the plant and not just at the top correct?
