I want to sanitize some things before I move them into my room by wiping them down with a solution. Should I use bleach or hydrogen peroxide and how much do I add to a gallon of water? Thank you!

as long as you rinse with water only afterward, you can't use too much bleach/H2O2. i would also make the water as hot as you can handle. the hotter the more shit it kills and more dirt it absorbs.

if you really wanted to you could just use pure bleach. just rinse after.

Ya, and when you mix your nutes to the water, just pour those nutes in and don't worry about how much.
What a dumb f-ing reply.
To the original poster, even though this is an old post, the proper mixture is 3/4 cups to every 1 gallon of water. This is the same mixture which can be used to clean the walls as well. If it's a bit too strong for your likes just add 1/2 cup per gal, no less.
A cup a gallon as mentioned above it too much. And the guy that suggested to use pure bleach then rinse after is just a moron. Even if you were to only be dipping equipment in bleach it's not a good idea to use full strength. Normal germs and bacteria are 99.9% killed off with as little as 1% concentrate of bleach in water, with the 3/4 cups per gal it gives one about a 4-5% concentrate, more than enough.
