I still have not began my first grow but before I do Id like to ask Intermediate and Veterans how should you maintain your plant in order to be sure that at the end of your harvest period you will most likely end up with high THC in abundant plants?

are we talking Indoor or outdoor????
its basically the same for both tho a lot of the differances are cmmon sense amd the fact yhou have a little less control.

a few tips

1: start off from good seed or clone

2: grow it with care and give it what it needs not too much, i find a little bit less is better than a little bit too much when push come to crunch with chemicals.

3: try to only use chemicals only once a week

4: make sure its in a good climate (if under light check humidity how hot the light is around the plant = you can use the back of your hand for this

5: make sure theres ventilation and good air flow

6: Remove any males and what not as soon as signs appear

7: make sure the plant gets adequit light if in a kit, if outside look at what light its going to get at what time of day, where the shadows are going to be and when the plant going to be in shade.. theres numerous reasons for this. but the biggest being you dont want it to bud at the wrong time :(

8: harvest at the right time (when 60-80 percent of the hairs are red or get a scope and look 4 nice cloudy complete trichromes they look like little shrooms :P) if you leave it too long the plant will produce its own natural toxins that attack its thc and damages/downgrades it and its stoned in a way... and harvest t early they wont have time to develope completely and not allowing itto be what it should be (lower quality due to being incomplete like a green apple, they can look good and big but you really gotta wait till its ripe to eat it or its a waste of time. y go through the hastles of growing it if you dont want to have propper, finished, complete buds. this is a big factor in the buds strenght really,

9: cure it properly and dont speed dry the shit.

10: dont stress it too much throughout its growth ( i know some people who do this on pourpose andthere plants seem to bulk up and it kinda works i guess... but i defiately 100% dont agree with doing this really it can cause males all sortsa crap. so dont stress the plant ok.no matter what you hear its bad, they want nice peacfull lives in my views and theyl grow up to be nice ig buds with a nice sugar coating :)

i know thes are no real tips that you asked for. but its good advice i think none the less. and it should help you get nice bud with the most thc the plants genetics could produce, remember theyre gonna have mumy and daddies traits so you can only expect what to get what the genetics are capable of.... but how you grow it effects the outcome. ive seen bagseed grown by a pro look as good as signature weed grown by a beginner. how you grow iteffects the final product more than anything really.

there are chemicals out there that aid in trichrome development and the plants colour specificaly apparently. i havent used them tho but that being said certain chemicals will help your plant in that aspect.
my advice google for it or something

i think there will be a few posts here if you look what do you reckon.:weed:

p.s +1 rep because its allways good to research before you start and make sure youve got everything sorted especially when trying something new.

i myself am constantly asking noob questions ta make sure ive got it strait.
i may even ask if i actually know the aswer just to make sure. and what not

well done
Jester:shock:

You gotta have love. Good seeds and dirt. Dirt makes the plant good, high quality living compost. others may disagree but I have done it both ways, and dirt is the way to get potency. Dry climates imho are just like in wines, and produce more alcohol so do plants make more THC. If you over-water, I think the quality suffers, in favor of yeild. Hydro gets the yeilds, in favor of potency- plants grow twice as fast. Also good genes, they make all the difference. Difference you can see. Do it right, get Hps
get Co2, get everything and reinvest in your business, and ask questions just like yer doin. Keep it up and RIU is one of the best resources ever so keep in touch.

no probs hope it helps

this should all be pretty accurate i have some of my own teqniques for growing that people dont seem too fond of o this site, what we like doing starts indoors and gets finished outdoors... but thats just us.... its simple enough but hard at the same time sorry to say.....

dont worry tho this is all basically stuff that really does apply to all growing and nothin to do with me n my mates growing techniques. ITS THE BASICS and if you do these things correct you should get a decent and potent flower:)

I COME FROM OZ SO THIS TECHNIQUE WORKS PERFECTLY FINE "i was just saying my friends like trying new things when we grow sometimes and in ways its easier for us to do this " so plz dont take this post off topic like i already have, just to say you reckon its a dumb idea cos it doesnt matter anyways.... its what we do when we can because it works for us pretty damn well.. though ill admit it can take a bit of getting used to...

i agree i maself like soil but i dont really favour neither there both good depends on what you want to do.
i personally think soil grow is easiest. i like it but other grow mediums suffice just as well in my eyes
but i gotta say soil works awsome for what we do sometimes ;P

Seriously, all you need to do is to make it to the end of the grow, dont sweat every little spot on a leaf, dont freak out over perfect ph & most of all lay off the fertilizer & only fertilize every 3rd watering.

Do that & you'll have killer buds its that easy.

The biggest problem new growers have is the internet & thats no shit, they read too much & learn too much, then apply everything they've read all at once & fuk the grow directly up,im not trying to be a dick but its the truth, there is no magic trick to growing marijuana, its one of the easiest plants on earth to cultivate, the problems come from trying to do too much for the plant when it needs very little to start with.

You need excellent light, good soil & fertilizer, and not fox farms stuff either, el-cheapo $5 fertilizers will produce the same buds,do these things & forget all the little tips & tricks & you'll have a good harvest, try to use all the little tips & tricks on your first grow & your chances of a good harvest go down hill fast.

hes got a point i remember i used to take fuck all care of my buds really and they were fine
then i tried to start taking all these pointers at once
results were disasterous
like i said its good to learn and research but without practical knowledge, its just usless information. you gotta experience it learn hou you like to grow and go from there. you gotta work your way to being good enough that you can put all this hard learnd info into action. my advice still stands learn and learn to use the knowledge thats been passed to you ehy.
you can produce kiler nud erasily but u can make dyno bud with some care knowledge, know how and with some patience and time.

but seriously dude the bloke wanted tips on improving his produce, not how to grow good hillbilly weed.
dont be offended by this i myself like to grow some plants like this (mainly bag seed "currently got shiva, white rhino, haze and blueberry in.
im kinda gonna be doing the take it easy approach with them ehy. i got raided and done for cultivation. there in a few monthslate tho but should be fine ( there gna be strictly outdoor)
we all know theyre easy to grow this bloke is striving to improve tho

I would have to say start with a good strain. Keep ph for soil as close to 6.0 as possible and for hydro ph should be 5.2. PH is important if you want your plants to take up the nutes you give them. You can also use ph buffered nutes and avoid the ph issues. EC is important too. Over fertilizing causes deficencys. TDS for hydro is 600-900ppm till late flower. Start with around 400ppm after about 3 weeks veg then go up slowly. Your plants will let you know if you are overfeeding. If you need to lower the strenght dillute with plain water. Late flower you can bump it to 1100ppm. When you water in soil the ppm should be around 400 to start and 800ppm for veg and early flower then 1100- 1200ppm for late flower and dont fert every watering. Flush soil and flush and change water in hydro on a regular schedule. If you dont have a meter start around 1/4 strenght and dont go over 1/2 strenght till late flower. If you have to use tap water add Pond water detoxifier. It removes all the bad stuff from tap water! I also add SugarDaddy to my nutes through the whole cycle and I add Magical after about 6 weeks veg to help prevent deficencys. You can use Sweet and Calmag if you prefer botanicare products!
