I can't understand all these threads about "If I get a card how can get in trouble?" Or " If I grow 72 plants and have 7 patients..."

Let's get something very clear, politicians, government (Federal, State and local), Police, ATF....and so on do not give one shit what card you have from a doctor nor do they care about your health condition. It doesn't matter either way to them, they will continually pursue anyone and everyone tied to Marijuana in any shape or form! It's that simple!

Why am I bothering to make this post? It's simple, get your card, fine. Make sure you have your doctor's papers proving your condition ( a condition that is covered under the MMMJ act) and for the love of Christmas, hide your Grow and tell no one!

With that said, feel free to disagree with me and call me stupid!

I completely disagree but would NEVER call you stupid. I've read too many excellent posts from you.

The same sort of scenario must have taken place at the end of prohibition. Using your thought process, cops in Colorado will still be busting MJ users long into next year. A couple of well placed lawsuits would put an end to that nonsense.

I completely agree that you should get a card and hide and tell no one. Completely agree.

Yep, and I won't be getting raided either. Real stupid I guess!
Nah, in honesty, I don't judge anyone man. Truth be told, your way is near fool proof while my way of being open about it is a bit more dangerous, but it brings attention to the cause. There are too many folks being open about it for LEO to keep it suppressed any longer. I dont understand where you get the idea that city and state cops can still prosecute for it. That is 100% false. Regardless, without folks like me bringing it to the mainstream, representing it in a positive way, we would never make any progress in regards to liberating the herb.

But yea, I was j/k about disagreeing and you being stupid. I think quite the contrary in fact. Maybe Im just jealous that it's too late for me to go back underground.

I should note that I know the possible negative consequences from my actions and I'm ready to take responsibility. I don't feel like a criminal, I am not a criminal. I will not live my life NOT doing what I LOVE because of.... wait a sec, Im taking this somewhere controversial lol.

your average caregiver is the generally the last person to get raided. sure there are exceptions.

every bust I am aware of in my area is either straight illegal, or a medical growing breaking the MMMP laws.
I have absolutely no fear of being raided.

I applaud those who grow openly. I wish I had the balls, but don't. I'm of the opinion that MOST cops think small time MJ busting is a gigantic pain in the ass with no real threat being eliminated. I guess the Grand Rapids prosecutor is being a dick, but that's expected for a while as these guys pout. I think prosecutors will take it worse than the beat cops.

I agree with you all. were not criminals. My point is the people who have the power don't want to lose it. This will be a battle of epic proportions and those in the trenches my hats off to you. I guess with big risk can come big reward. I just don't see the bickering on here as going anywhere until people realize that law or no law men are evil and do evil things <----I include myself in that. I hope things change I really do. I just hope the arguing on here ends, it's pointless. Let's grow and show and enjoy being pain free!

"Men are evil and do evil things" Man, that is so true. Left alone, a sadly large % of people will stop contributing to the greater good of the village and start stealing and abusing if they can. It's like an evil gene we all have.

It must be done. We have a need, we voted. People are sick.
Hit twenty dispensaries and you will quickly see that the majority of
us grow shit meds in michigan and it needs to get better. Starting here
at medicated acres. I want to be better, every single person I know wants
to be better. It's why the majority of us are here.

i hate it when people refer to prohibition as a "war". a "war" implies that 2 sides are fighting....
You say that as though we are the ones who coined the term "War on Drugs". Thats what it is. People are dieing over it, families are being destroyed over it, and people are being enslaved. If that's not war, I don't know what is. Granted, it isn't artillery style warfare, but it's war nonetheless. There has to be a certain point where you say fuck it and stand up for what you know to be right in your heart. It' isn't about me, and it isn't about you. It's about the entire planet. It's about the overwhelming amount of people suffering because of Prohibition. Like any war, the cause goes far beyond the self.

Sorry if I sound like a dick here, I just feel very strongly about the subject and it gets me going every time. Plus I AM a dick. If you don't see that there are two sides fighting against each other, your eyes aren't open.
