I have a growilla lite 4x8 tent which has a weight capacity of 175 lbs. Was wondering what reflector u guys would run in it. I was looking at 8 inch version or blockbuster and radiant since there not as heavy as raptors

Go DE and get some ac/de's. I use to use raptors and switched all my rooms to these about a year ago. Yields increased 15-20%, well worth it

as the years roll by...I no longer freak or even consider reflectivity of light any big deal, ...I prefer to rank it about 10, on the 'grow it rite' scale, this of course depends on the light you are using and the amount of plants under, or in that crucial foot print, I do think voluminous ventilation and general grow room circulation more important, for that reason 6-8 inches in a 4x8 tent would be acceptable

4x8 eh? The best bet for you would be to run 2 hoods.
One for each 4x4 area.
A square hood (2) will do far more you then any Raptor or XXL style hood as you don't have the area they cover......Their for open area growing in large rooms...

The other thing is you most certainly don't need 8 inch cooling lines for that. Remember that the open area for these lines reduces the reflected light! So then, 6" lines will be all you need.

I suggest these very strongly.

In a 4x4 area, 600w will work out for you well. You can go 1K's but the heat and cost to run increase vs results. Brings you back to 600's.

He is exactly right go 600 im in a 8x3 closet and the heat issue is becoming a issue in the summer months .

That is going to work,,,,,But be careful with how close they are to the plants....Cooling will be important with 1k's!!!!

I am run ing current setup know just switching tent and the new tent can handle as much weight as old one plus I think the raptors are overkill in the 4x8 I am able to get temps between 82-88 degrees at top of canopy

Vertical reflectors are supposed to get you something like 60% more out of your light. Gotta trust my boss on this one I havent researched it myself, we sell a similar item for like $450 in the shop, we also just got a sweet CMH 315w that is in a vertical reflector. If there is anybody who is seriously concerned with their light efficiency out there, i gotta imagine its CMH users; they tend to know whats up with that type of shit.

just my 0.02

Adjusta wings (2)would serve you well in your space..........with them being fully adjustable and with the use of the spreaders the heat is down to a minimum......I use these and noticed anything bigger would've just been a wast .....only my op but one I believe in....

Parabolic reflectors: Here I go...

You get least light loss, if you have them, if its a vertical shaped parabolic, it only ignites half the gas as the sodium sinks to the bottom.

Vertical parabolics however...

As long as you get one with vents on it so the heat disappates thtough the top & can be blown towards the filter with a oscillating fan

wings will need lots of air flow to remove the heat!

Their just not the best idea for a tent or a small area.
Wings and parabolic reflectors are better suited to large whole room or whole building grows where you can control the heat better.

Yes I do agree with the doc .....but that's a shit load of money for a standard air cooled hood......it does mean a bit of trial and error but when you find the sweetspot with the adjustawings and you s the fans at your disposal(less than an air cooled hood)then the benefits are clear to see.......

Gavitas are the way to go. Most efficient use of light. Best results. Worth the cost completely. Assuming you have the means to cool your room. Air cooled hoods are soon to be outdated products.

Gavitas.....take up a load of space and cost a shit load of cash...yes an excellent product.......but AGAIN overkill for the space mentioned.....adjustawings enforcer........£45......a no brainer...imo.....

Great point. The wing reflectors eliminate the glass shield as well.

Yea like I said it's all about finding the SWEET SPOT with these reflectors.....once you do that ......then you've cracked it...I wouldn't use them in a space smaller than an 8+4.....but these were made for this space and imo perform perfectly.....

I used to rock the adjusta wing reflectors on my first grow. I bought into the idea that Air cooled hoods were better just because everyone had them.
