What size duct you need for a 6 inch fan + cool master tube? Need quick answer.

Surprisingly I could find no discussion of how to set up the duct, probably because it should be such a simple thing to do.

Does it have to be a 6 inch duct, or larger than the diameter of the fan? The bulbs are 400w MH and HPS, and I want to use insulated duct because it reduces the noise. The length the air will move will only be about 5-7 feet at most. Going to run off to the store soon.

ooooo i need order thaat its super cheap and double cfm my exhaust lol mine is 109cfm.....that wouuld make a huge difference i bet :) !!! n you can use whatever size ducting i would go with 6" ducting tho

oh well yeah im spend money on a more expensiv one then haha i need quiet the 4" one i got know you can bearly hear it :) but i need something a little bigger for my 400 i think esp with summer coming

Make a cooling tube using hurricane glass and hook it up to ur fan it will cool ur light and still suck air out
