I have a grow tent that is 32x32x63 inches. I have a 250watt hps light with a wing reflector. I am doing a scrog style grow. I was wanting to know what size inline fan should I use? I seen a 4inch and a 6inch. The 4inch is about 200cfm. The 6inch is 440cfm. so what size would be good for my size tent?

like adjorr said go with a 6" and speed controller just in case you ever want to upgrade you will already have the right size fan I run a 400 watt hid 3x3x6 tent for veg I keep the fan dimmed to 60% and temps stay perfect you could get away with a 4" inch but it will be louder than the 6 with a speed controller

also a 4" isn't much cheaper than a 6 but you make the decision you may want the extra cfms when its gets hot outside

I am not really worried about upgrading. I am just doing a small grow with a 250watt light just to save on electric bill. so if I use a 4inch fan. Do I need a speed controller?

just remember depending on how much duct you run and if you plan on a carbon filter that will cut down the cfms alot

ok yes. I will be wanting to use a carbon filter during flowering. so I better get the 6inch fan. so does the carbon filter cfm need to be higher or lower than the fan cfm? The 6ich fan is 440cfm. so the the filter should be what?

get one that matches the fan cfm or close I just picked up a 400 cfm phresh filter I would recommend that brand a lil more expensive but worth it

or if your feeling like a baller you could go with a rhino filter top of the line pretty much but there pricey

can you find one in the 400 cfm range that would be more ideal really don't want a filter over the cfm of the fan because it may not scrub it right may have a faint smell still
