A bit off topic but ive been following your posts, how do you choose your strain? and do you purchase seeds for genetics or F1 or quality etc?
my choices are made with little deep thought, something not to long flowering and not to tall..........i chose big bomb because i grew their thc bomb a long time ago and crossed it with a bubblegum....making bubblebomb...........i bought bubblegum because i had some from holland and liked it so much......i seem to be lucky with my choices so far ....

...DO NOT USE MIRACLE GROW ANTHING>>>!!!!
What's wrong with MG? It's the only thing my buddy ever used! Not that I doubt there is better out there, but with 3 grows in a 64ft^3 space the results speak for themselves:
1st grow - 1 plant, 45 days veg, 60 days flower, topped for two colas, cheap fertilome nutes, fish emulsion, hydrogen peroxide, molasses, 400w MH switched to 400w sunmaster warm deluxe for flower. 3' tall...5 cured oz.

2nd grow - same light, strain, nutes, MG soil...6 plants this time, topped to two main colas, same light...not enough light though...buds were airy...produced 9 oz.

3rd grow - in the works...3 plants, same nutes, same MG soil. added a 400x CMH to the mix...predictin an lb or more

MG works....trust me

Any soil is better than MG. Once you get away from it you'll understand... hell you can grow in anything doesent mean you should.
Their soil IMHO is unstable, and by unstable it fluctuates too much (for me) feeding is difficult and easy to over nute, hard to flush. I also use beneficials MYCO, TRICODERMA, etc.. which is MORE important when growing. with beneficials and organics its ALMOST impossible to over feed... and i dont waste as many nutes because salts dont build up as easily! once you use supersoil .. just water! thats it! no ph nothing!

I don't think I can read the back there (no image)... but interestingly enough just the other day, when I was at Lowes, I checked the packaging on the Miracle Gro perlite they had (which I am certain is the exact same 8 quart bag). On the front of the bag (which you can see in the Amazon image), in yellow\English, it says: "Improves Drainage & Aeration in potting mixes - Enriched with MIRACLE-GRO® plant food". Then on the back of the bag, lower left hand corner, it details the NPK and states "Derived from: ammonium nitrate, ammonium phosphate, calcium phosphate, and potassium sulfate."

Here is the packaging: http://www.scotts.com/smg/products/Miracle-Gro/soil/in_container/pdf/Miracle-Gro Perlite.pdf

Maybe they do sell it without the crap, but that other stuff in the first link definitely has it.

FoxFarm Ocean Forest with perlite added for better drainage and to tone it down a bit. It varies by bag apparently, but Ocean Forest can get pretty hot sometimes and burn your youngsters.
