My seedlings just popped and I put them in soil. I want to put up no more than 200watts on them and every light I have ranges from 400-1000. Being that its sunday my local shop is closed and need a light today. Whats the best light from home depot or lowes. I see they sell CFL's, Metal Halides, Flourecents. Whats the best to use.

well i use one 20watt =1,500lumens cfl bulb to veg and it works fine ever time but u will need to keep a eye on how close the light is from the plant u can keep a cfl about 2" away from the top of the plant

hey thanks alot guys. I went to home depot and bought a 75 watt (i think its 75 could be 50) DAYLIGHT CFL. Im assuming because it says daylight on the box it replicates more of the daylight spectrum. I got em in dixie cups inside a plastic starter box with a heat matt underneath. Does that sound ideal??? From everything Ive read thats what most say to do. I already popped the seeds in water before putting them in the cups. Hopefully theyll sprout. I need to figure out how to post pics.
