What the heck is going on with pot prices?

I disagree. Knowledgeable smokers, Growers and their friends and families and generally connisours and real Med patients rarely go to dispensaries or stores.

They also bounce caregivers who can’t meet their needs.

And they are exceedingly vocal about it.

When you need the quality you need it.
I agree completely. I've been growing medically for myself and others for almost ten years and built my first rooms ten years before that with my dad when I was 15. I've seen plenty of people going through the cycle of searching out quality.

The only concern price wise is that they aren't getting overcharged. There will always be people looking for the lowest price point that still gets them a decent quality smoke but the biggest change in the consumer base has been that they are more educated and more discerning about what they want.

Lol. As soon as everyone complies they will change it again. And when we get rec. all new bigger players will come in and it will change again.

I don’t even want my medical card renewed in the fuckhole of criminal politics called Michigan.

At one point Oregon wanted us to include the number of leaves in our inventory in our monthly reporting. They also had separate categories for drying flower and wet flower.

I've heard the same thing from people for years. They prefer mine because with few exceptions it's consistently the best around. I have to take that with a grain of salt but at the same time they keep coming back.

I hear you about the failures too. I've seen lots of ads for small warehouse grows worth of equipment on craigslist. It's actually a really good proxy for guaging the industries ups and downs.
Around here if it's good it sells, if not, you may as well keep processing it into something that will lol. I think the biggest thing to happen to the market is the quality of the product. Yes back in the day there was some really good smoke (good enough that I remember each of them) but being able to remember them is the problem so to speak lol. Now there is a choice of who has it and who has the best so the crap sells cheap. I actually have smoked some really good product out of the dispensaries here but it's a hit and miss thing and your paying anywhere from $45-65 a quarter. That's still under the estimated price of legal, dispensaries are illegal here but flourish on the reserves ;).

The largest problem I see with systems of any type is the initial installation being screwed up. Normally in the duct work and air flow .
I like I said everything wear out and needs replaced , normal life expectancy is 15 to 20 years.
It's no wonder you like geo if you get paid to pit them in. I was paid to fix them and condemn then when necessary .
The cost of them far out exceeds the saving from them .
Keep in mind brother I am not knocking you at all. I do not like them , like for example a t stat for a water furnace is a couple of thousand dollars. I can change a whole conventional system for the cost of a T stat and have money left over.
Somw things do not make economic sense . Geothermal is one of those .
It works great when it is working correctly. If not it's one of the most ficked up things ever.
I stopped working on boiler system because I get tired of people bitching about the cost.
It seems like when you get into a old system and you start messing with corroded water pipes and when they break you have to go tell the owner that's another grand , then you do something else and it falls apart and you go back to the owner, that will be another grand .
First of all, what kind of Waterfurnace thermostat are you quoting at $2000, sounds like your parrot needed some crackers. Second I don't do the loops unless it's in a lake, we let the customer do that part as it's cheaper for them and I don't sub as it drives the cost up. As for air flow and duct sizing, I'm starting to know why you don't like em. You showed up at installs that some fool did and now your in it because they've called in 5 different companies to fix it and hoping you can lol. Anyhooo $2000 WTF lol. That's the cost of the compressor replacement here, not under warranty. I do hear you re: boilers but again it's sounds like you got a lot of neglected, shitty, crap jobs, it happens lol. Just for comparison I had one of my guys change out a Water to Water WF TX valve, last Thursday, so reclaim, re and re valve and drier. Evacuate and re charge the system and it was $375 plus tax, the valve was warranty (10 years) it is a 7 year old unit that heats house, indoor pool, and preheats HRV air so the little fucker has done well, oh and all three stats were less than $300, one being digital programmable. That all being said, yup the price is not for the faint of heart but I still think it's a good investment if all you got is propane or oil. In 2015 Propane spiked for the winter at $1.25 a litre, convert that to gallons and have a heart attack lol.

If the pics were cash cropper pics then you would be broke by the look of your avi. I think I see spider mites.

I grew that plant in my first year of growing. And I never had a vegetable garden or even watered a houseplant before I started.

It is a CH9 Black Widow x Blue Lemon Thai. I sent the pic to the breeder and he has put it in his catalog for the strain. And he submitted it to Green Candy Press to be published in the next Big Book of Buds. CH9 has had multiple plants shown in those books.

The flower I posted to this thread is another seed of that strain. Does that one look bug ridden too?

Lol. I have never had any spider mites or any peat outbreaks in my garden.

Let’s see your garden. ;-)

Yeah, I thought that was funny. One budshot of a gorgeous bud and dude is talking about throwing the whole plant in the trash and starting over because it won't produce a gazillion grams per watt.

Yea, I earned last year by making around 100 grand tax free selling and growing God's Herb (u as a Libertarian will appreciate that)
What the fuck do you do again?
Install HVAC, and kill plants?
.
Lol. I think I might like you even though your almost a big a prick as i am.
Let me know when you get in the big time jr.
If you want I will come out and show you to grow, for a small fee of like half hour yearly income .
But yes I appreciate you doing good .
I think it's great, I love to see people grow and do good.
It seems everyone is getting a raise thanks to Trump. Finally we get to keep a little of what we kill.

@MichiganMedGrower There isn’t any way to “Win” in a thread like this. Every pic posted will be criticized, bs will be said “mine is as good, or better”, you can’t have “that” because I don’t, the usual crap.

Only thing left to do is have fun with it.

Cheers.

I didn't really criticize anyone's pictures . Thought they were awesome . It's a lot better and more fun to work with people building them up instead of tearing them down .

Yes brother it was ordered straight from water furnace too and was around 1000 for the stat alone . I am a licensed mechanical contractor and no I hate geo.
A lot of my career has been fixing what others screw up .
I was in the union like 20 years ago , steam fitters umbers and HVAC . All I did was run around fixing shit for years.
One of the reasons I can't stand unions. Fucking fools were running around fucking everything up earning the same pay as me and me fixing everything they touched. One day I said to the boss hey I think I deserve a little more money then these guys because I'm worth it.
He said we can't pay you more . What the union does is they take a guy who is a broke dick worth less than five bucks a hour and pay him 30 a hour and take it from the guy worth 80 bucks a hour to pay all the broke dicks.
Well one day the owners son in law thought he would get smart with me so I told him to go fuck himself called up the owners and told them to go fuck themselves and asked anyone in the office if they felt left out . Cause if you do all of you can go fuck yourselves .
Started my own heating and air company and been doing it and growing ever since.
I have a uncanny knack for solving mechanical problems and plant problems ( grower problems ) because it's not normally the plant that fucks up. It's the grower every time .

Ive always found it strange that people on an internet forum try to justify their behaviour by mentioning what they earn or have earned in the past.
I can understand a discussion of wages of cause but just to try one up man ship is kinda amusing, especially so when its an avg amount. Avg wage were I am is 80k, 100k is nothing special and I earnt that regularly 12-15 years ago.

No one cares what I used to earn and no one cares what you earn.
