What The Hell Is Eating My Toms?

I am just so effing mad. Three days now, something is eating my tomatoes and it got a pepper too. I thought it was either possums (my princess caught a mamma with 7 babies) or raccoons, but now I'm thinking rats. There is an abandoned house next door for over 2 years now and they started doing some yard clean up. now we are being inundated with critters. I wish I could somehow electrify my containers or something. Or sit out there with my Moss.

:finger: the little effers!

i cant tell you what it is. what type of damage? leaf? fruit? and a pic would help if possible.
i found a small radio on a talk station near the garden will help keep critters away as they think its a human noise and stay away most the time

Hey McPurple. There is no damage really, just the whole fruit is missing. When it got the pepper, there were 4 or 5 little rat sized bites on the plywood under the container, but other than that, no evidence. You can see on the stem where the fruit was, but poof, just gone. My daughter is going to let me borrow her camera. I would just leave the back door open and let my dog get the little bastards, but not too safe in the hood, ya know?

Squirrels over here like to steal whole tomatoes. I wouldn't put it past them.
I also have antelope squirrels that like to eat unripe tomatoes.

The mice like eating them also.
And I have bunnies that eat the leaves of the plants.

You're in better condition that I am.

Set some of the snapping traps, and see what gets caught
