hey

well my plants have got nutrient burn as a result of a slight mix up with the nutrient! SO i have emptyied the res and now im just giving them water until i can get the correct nutrient 2moro- the thing is, my plants are at day 40 of flower and im worried they wont recover from this!

Is there any problem in taking them off nutrients for a day and just giving them water?
Will they recover from this mistake?

thnx

If hydro double up their water today and tomorrow on the timers and when you do add nutes on thrid day go only with bloom, you are far enough along to cut out the grow.

When you go back to nutes put water back where it was

Yes, just run a lot of water over the next day or so and that will flush things out.

And remember that using fewer nutrients is far safer to a grow than using too many. I ALWAYS use 25% less than the bottle says to use. Keeps me safe.

Feed less nutes. Less is more.

Do you have a ppm meter?

No?

You should invest in a ppm meter so you know how much youre feeding your plants.
Bluelab makes a good truncheon with a 5 year warranty.

You said your nutes are for drain to waste? That's great for drain to waste systems, but they dont have the buffering capacity that you'll want for a recirculating system.
