What to do with consistent rain and overcast?

Hey where I live in Maine it's supposed to be rain for about a week straight and if its not rain its heavy overcast. Should I bring my plants inside and make a little makeshift growbox and throw a couple of CFLs in their? I only have 3 maybe 4 I can use but would that still be better then leaving them out in the rain? Thanks in advance.

If you have some indoor lights to plug in , hell yes bring her in..fuck rain right about now!:P
Alright I only have 3 CFLs I can use but I guess its better then rain and no light at all lol. I was just worried about using artificial light when they've been under the sun their whole life. Didn't know if that would have any bad effects on it.

Bring them inside under whatever light you've got in the shitty weather & if you leave them outside, go check them....more than a few times per day. Or, build a greenhouse too......but, you'd still need air flow & a "good amount" of it. Just my 2 cents.

welcome to maine, land of shitty unpredictable weather. ive already had to take about half my crop this year but the other half was a bit behind so it has to tough out some less than fortunate late season weather. if I dont see any signs of rot before thursday morning (harvest ball time at the hill again!!) I'll probly leave em outside till I get back from the fest. if I do see any signs of rot (and I mean any) ill take em wednsday night and trim the fans off.

edit * morale of the story, keep a mean eye out for mold and then its up to you if you want to risk it if you see any.

I had to take my crop early this year, also due to the same weather here in my area. Except add in hurricanes & 80-90% humidity all summer/fall. Delahaze is a strain you really should look into if you're really set on growing outdoors.

I'm pretty sure the sun still puts out around 100-300 watts of sunlight on cloudy days as compared to around 1000 watts on a hot sunny day so it might be better to leave them outside under a hoop house, than to put under a few 15 watt cfls which will prolly only get u like 50 watts. I would put the cfls outside to supplement the sunlight... If u can figure a way to cover them first

On the East Coast here too calling for 100 mm(almost 4 inchs) over next 3 days..
I greenhoused my main ones..chopping the smallest tonight.. cover and airflow.. or get em indoors.. Either way avoid the rain
good luk

ive always just cut the whole bud off. just seems like a risk to leave a piece that was infected on the plant. you can still use the rptten pieces fpr stuff though. I dehydrate my pieces with bud rot (in a 5 layer dehydrator to kill mold, or at least slow it down) for a day or two and then extract from it. I personally dont notice a difference in quality between dehydrated infected pieces and close sugar trim (ussually butane extraction). ive also used it in cooking oils.

I'm in Maine too... I feel your pain.. I have harvested some.. My outdoors are in pots, so I have those sitting in my garage while I decide what to do! Shitty weather right at the end. Whereabouts in Maine are you?

Edit: not trying to get your specific locale, haha, just curious what part of state you are battling. I'm central, near Bangor

I'm actually more southern Maine in a little town called Hollis right next to Buxton.

Also I started my plants a little early this year and I'm in no position to harvest early. My plants hairs are just starting to fatten up and show signs of bud so I need to make it work haha

You must be getting pounded with rain.. I saw some pretty crazy pictures of the flooding in p-town! Sure is coming down up here.. thankful I have mine in pots and can move to garage, but still unsure I should just let them sit in there for days with such minimal light! Shitty time for this storm. Good luck to you man.

Yeah its getting pretty bad down here we have a couple days coming up where the suns supposed to break through so I'm hoping for the best I'm just glad I went with putting them in pots instead of straight into the ground cause they wouldn't of stood a chance haha
