What would be best...+rep

Okay im at a crossroads Im currently growing with CFL's but i want to get a (150-400)hps/mh converstion.

Im wondering what would be good for around 5 plants, but id like to setup some sort of SoG going so i could harvest every so often.

Venting the heat would be an issue so what would you suggest.

i have kali mist, BCKUSH, skunk #1 and big BANG
I understand the kali mist takes considerable more amount of time.
any suggestions would be good.

I would suggest a 250w since heat is a concern. That should be enough to grow 5 smaller plants (for sog). Now if your planning on growing 5 large plants then I would suggest getting a 400w with a cool tube to deal with the heat issues.

yea i was looking at them but are there any that can cool themselves with maybe their own fan so i would have to attach ducting and the whole scheme.

I am assuming by that you are meaning you don't want to attach ducting? (you wrote that you do want to attach ducting so that's why im confused)

In which case I do not know of any cool tubes that you do not vent with ducting because the idea is that you have to vent the heat somewhere. If you were to just put a glass cover over your light bulb and then put a fan that sucked the air out of the light fixture with no ducting the heat would just be going right out into your grow area and would be the same as not having a cooltube.

However all of that being said what kind of space are you using and what are your average temperatures in the room? (this would help a lot with guessing what kind of lights you can run without heat issues)

You also could use a portable airconditioning unit to cool the room instead of a cool tube if your only concern is the running of ducting.

the room itself is cool. I have the heat at about 55. But right now i have a couple cfls and they provide the heat needed. also i could move the op to a diff room so theres no space constraints but my "box" type thing is about 4 wide 4 high and 6 long. i also can re adjust the measurements on that.
