whats a good pre-grow pestacide?

I recently cropped out my last grow, (indoor small room) which were highly infected with aphids and spidermites (little bastards). well I am ready for grow 2 and I need to disinfect my grow area...

Question 1: What is a good pestacide to use for a relatively small area (4x4x9)

Question 2: How long will I have to wait after disinfecting to move in the new ladies?

I spray HOMEGUARD from Lowes on my carpeted closet area, and on the walls, a foot high, and it doesn't smell. I immediatly start growign with no waiting.
