Whats best whiskey for whiskey sour

I know this does not have anything to do with green....but what is this best reasonable priced whiskey for a whiskey sour...?

I think that if ur gonna be putting sour mix in it, the whisky in question doesn't have to be of the highest quality. In fact, u can probably use the cheapest stuff u can find and be perfectly happy.

honestly? since you're adding all that sour mix to make a sour - you don't need top shelf for that mixed drink. now neat is a different story - matter of taste.

If your gonna water down whiskey use a cheap one, jim bean jack daniels , if ya wanna enjoy your whiskey .. go with Makers Mark ... was good enough for the bad guy in first spiderman movie .. its good enough for you. saint patricks Day go with a good irish whiskey like bushmills and a guinness back. Cheers.

Cheap - Canadian Mist or Canadian Club - $20 a handle.

A good smooth whiskey sour - Crown Royal - $50 a handle.
