honestly

youd be better of with calmag

one bottle has the calcium, magnesium and iron

one bottle of calmag replaces the need for the mag amp and the plant amp and the little bit of iron youd get from the uncle johns

nute companies love to sell you as many bottles as they can so they needlessly separate elements into several bottles to increase there profits

plus the calmag has 2.5% calcium so its 2 1/2 half times more concentrated compared to the plant amp at 1%

if you buy the calmag that's

2%N
3.2% Ca
1.2% Mg

youd mix it like this

per gallon max strength

veg
5mls grow
5mls micro
5mls bloom
2mls calmag
0.5 grams Epsom salt (1/8 tsp)

bloom
2mls grow
4mls micro
10mls bloom
3mls calmag

since your in soil

you could just top dress the Epsom salt 1/4 tsp 1x per week or less and not worry about adding 0.5grams to the mix

make sure you get 20+ %run off from the bottom of the pot when you feed fertilizer
so if you water in 1 gallon you should get 3 to 4 cups from the bottom of the pot

if you have a quality soil and up-pot appropriately you shouldn't need to feed them but maybe a couple times during veg or possibly not at all unless they ask for it

then when you get into bloom feed them every other watering... less frequent if they look dark green and more frequent if they look hungry

for example;

in bloom you might feed them

water only....... water only........... fertilizer solution....... and repeat (every 3rd)

if they look hungry increase to

water only.........fertilizer solution....... and repeat (every 2nd)

if they look over fertilized feed them less often
if they look hungry fertilize them more often

btw
im not sure what your paying for those nutes

the base 3 part is very close to the general hydroponics 3 part

im not sure if theres a big difference in price but if the GH stuff is less expensive id be going with it next time

theres nothing wrong with your fertilizer

don't get me wrong

you just don't need or shouldn't need to buy all those bottles to make a balanced mix... it gets expensive and adds up... that's why they do it that way

The 3 part base is actually inexpensive 12 each for those its the additives that are 30 a bottle but very pleased with the results of my other crops just ran into something odd here talking to the nuet rep and he thinks maybe my uncle johns blend is contaminated its supposed to be a yellowish color but mine is a dark brown he is sending me out a free bottle plus a tee shirt

keep in mind

all fertilizers are the same

made from the same dry powder minerals mined from the earth

the only difference between them is how much of each powdered mineral is added to the water to be dissolved

for example

calcium nitrate
potassium nitrate
mono potassium phosphate
potassium sulfate
magnesium sulfate (aka Epsom salt)
magnesium nitrate

they (liquid fertilizers) are all made with the same starting salt minerals (some of which are listed above)

some might have more calcium nitrate and some might have less which changes the % amounts on the label

all the rest is marketing hype to convince you there brand is special... when really theres nothing special about it

mag-amp...your paying all that money for a bottle of liquid Epsom salt.... I can make that bottle for about 0.25cents using Epsom salt
look at the label it says "derived from magnesium sulfate" that's it!

the uncle johns your paying all that money for a bottle of water with potassium sulfate(and some iron) in it
heres how much it cost for potassium sulfate powder

one pound and you could likely make 5 bottles or more of the uncle johns

heres the silica product

Thats very intersting and alot cheaper and im sure not hard to figure out mixing solutions a pound for 7 vs 28 a jar kind of a no brainer

don't worry about getting into mixing your own fertilizers

that's a lot to learn and a lot of failed attempts to get it figured out

if your a small hobby grower your not going to save enough money to make it worth the trouble

just don't get caught up in the advertising

heres another example

you could by

maxigrow and maxi bloom

made by general hydroponics

they are dry powder salt fertilizers and contain everything you need

veg full strength per gallon
4 grams maxi gorw

bloom 50/50
2 grams maxigrow
2 grams maxibloom

and the finished results are about the same as the mix I suggested for you using your product only your mixing it with several more bottles

heres another

general hydropincs floranova, grow and bloom

full strength per gallon

veg
grow 7.5mls per gallon

flower
bloom 7.5mls per gallon

and again this mix is about the same as what your using (mixing the way I suggested) only its in 1 bottle instead of having to mix 7 bottles like you've been doing
