Whats gonna happen when the hurricanes hit the oil?

thats a great question that none of the officials or BP is willing to answer with a straight face. they'll probably say some shit like, "Well you see, the below freezing temps of the ocean will solidify the oil, and make it drop to the bottom of the ocean, where hurricanes cant reach it............"

but seriously, if hurricanes hit oil, it will spread the oil into even further away regions of the oceans, killing marine life as it spreads. but hey, what do we need marine life for.

two words: storm surge.
there are whole towns that will be left toxic and uninhabitable.
it's gonna be biblical.

i dont really see how it could catch on fire, seems like if it were to catch fire it would quickly be put out by the greater amount of water an the oil quickly burning off as it moves. i dont really know how these things work tho so.. ya. i think it is just one more thing showing we need to get off oil tho... big changes need to be made, if that means going an building a ton of new nuke reactors (i hear they produce alot less waste tehn before) or really gonig all in with solar/wind/hydro/?? engery sources. then that may be what it takes. also making a huge tax on car companys that produce cars with low mpg and huge breaks for those that focus on cars that dont use gas. i donno what can be done but somthing HAS to be done. if we keep on using oil like we are this is going to happen again =(

Checkout Newsfeed.time.com for the info on the possible Tsunami caused by the oil spill. It's on several other sites also. Sorry I can't post an actual link...not that computer savvy. Maybe someone else can

Good topic.. seriously. :)

IMO, since they're not sure as to which way the first hurricane of the season will go as of right now.. they say it could go more towards the coast of Texas.. but then again.. it could also switch and go exactly over the areas where the oil is. Like Gulf Shores areas, Orange Beach, Fl.; and pretty much the whole western side of the Florida Coast line. I have a feeling its going to turn bad..

and I'm not sure the government really realizes what kind of an impact this would have on not only the environment.. but peoples health; local animals; peoples houses; businesses; the roads will be covered in oil; peoples houses, the roofs will have oil on them.. so.. its not going to be fun by no means.

But hey.. we could have had this "oil incident" stopped and mostly cleaned up by now.. if we would have had some confident people in Office.. and if we had a President that knew what the fuck he was doing.. but we dont.. so now we have to just face the consiquince's.

But what I've come to just live with the knowing the fact that everyone that's in our government.. especially Obama being our President.. they're just all incompetent assholes.. that don't know the difference between left and right. ;)

just MO. ;)

peace..
