What’s safe to blast BHO in?

I'm planning on doing a BHO run soon and was thinking about using a silicon deep dish. But after further review I understand that they are bad/toxic to blast directly into so back to the pryrex baking dish it is.

My question is can I use parchment paper at the bottom of the pyrex dish or should I just go directly on the Pyrex? Is the silicon dish safe to vacuum purge in?

I would go directly on the pyrex myself. Even into a pyrex measuring cup.

Silicon stuff made for cooking should be perfectly fine tho. It's plastics you should not use when solvents are involved as the plasticizers can leach into the solvents even if food grade plastics. Taht gets left in your extract once the solvents are gone. Zero concern of that using good old Pyrex® !

I wouldn't worry about it and go ahead if that's the plan. I don't vac purge my stuff as I prefer to keep the terpenes in my oil and don't fear the slight contamination. A walk down any city street will expose a person to a lot more, and more dangerous, hydrocarbons than an oz of oil will contain after proper stirring and evaporation.

I mostly just make my pot into cocobudder and eat it so no worries about solvents doing that.
