What's that smell?

Question as a newbe. Suppose there are 8-2 week old plants in a closet of bag weed. Noticed a slight smell I am familiar with in the closet. My question is outside the room in the hallway a draft in the air smells like sewage and terrible! It's not in the room that includes the closet. Almost sewage smell.....and it only appears to be head high. Checked every room, wal. floorl etc. with no signs of drainage issues etc.

Bumb....

Noticed the perlite on top has a brown almost burned look from the 3 inch away cfl light? Smells almost like rotten eggs outside the room. Anyone?

Rotten eggs? That could be the smell of leaking gas.

Did you check the bathroom?

It's your upper lip.

More details would be good. Like TToil said, Leaking Gas would be the FIRST thing I would look for, especially if its head high.


What type of set up are you running? Hydro or dirt?

Also this may have nothing to do with your grow... If its an older house or building make sure you dont have any water leaks behind the drywall. An easy way to tell (if its gotten pretty bad) is to literally just feel the drywall, if it feels cold, or if its soft at ALL then you might have some water leaking issues and some moldy drywall.
