Well for me at my first attempt at growing out doors i went for SUPER SKUNK, should have read up a bit more on it really,
Started it in March and its still growing, had to cut it down once or twice, as got to big, over 6ft,
One of the clones out of two got nicked, so moved mother plant in doors in the bath room.

Now iv'e read up a bit on Auto seeds and like the fact they grow faster, but was wondering about which ones to get to grow
in my green house, especially with the uk weather being cold this time of year is it advisable to start some or should i wait???

Autos depend on the amount of light hours so If I was starting a grow with some Autos when the day light hours were winding down I would choose one of the strains with a bit more Sativa in it that takes longer to grow so as to give it a bit of a better chance to grow to a useable plant, but that is just speaking from my experience with indica dom Autos in Tasmania...

If you want the best possible plants you should probably wait, but there is nothing stopping you from getting some now and finding out for yourself...

The Rapid Afghan is an indica dominant autoflowering variety which mostly carries genetics from the Afghan family.
A small amount of sativa influence can be traced due to the addition of Skunk to the mix. Thanks to the Skunk it has become possible to get this variety stable and reliable.
The Rapid Afghan can get rather large, especially for an autoflowering cannabis variety. Although the Rapid Afghan won't get higher than 90 cm inside, the Rapid Afghan can reach a height of over one meter with very strong lateral branches outside. The Afghan is renowned for its large harvest and this characteristic has been passed on to the Rapid Afghan. The buds are therefore large, compact and entirely covered by glistening trichomes. The Rapid Afghan will guarantee you a very large harvest.
The taste and scent of the Rapid Afghan is reminiscent of the great Afghan of times gone by. Robust, spicy and herbal; simply a variety with spirit. The effect of the Rapid Afghan is relaxed and dreamy combined with a typical indica body buzz. Give the buds enough time to dry and let the Rapid Afghan take you back to times long past.
Rapid Afghan is 100% autoflowering and will complete her life cycle in 65 - 70 days. From seed to harvest!

you'd be fine with a early finishing indica they don't get as tall as skunks but even if you lst'd a skunk you can keep it realy short and bushy auto's are junk their mixed with ruderalis which is like hemp but it auto flowers so anything thats auto flower won't compare to the better strains out there.

I don't think that Autos can compare to the best of the best of the strains out there... but then not everyone is looking for a one hitter quitter...

Autos can give lovely smoke that get me and my mates trashed! If you wanna do an outdoor grow in the uk, i would recommend starting them off indoors in batches. You can even cros your own auto plants (even if they are femenized, by using colloidal silver) and get like 500 of your own femenized seeds, its easy. They put like 20 seedlings out in may, 20 in june, 20 in july, and 20 in august. THen just see what you get back. Nothing is guaranteed in guerilla growing, ur plants can die, get trashed or get nicked. Either grow them in ur own greenhouse or find a really out-of-the-way place, ideally on a natural spring so u dont have to water in later life. Sucks but thats what u gotta deal with. But definitely do make your own femenized seeds indoors, u only really need like a 125w cfl and a couple plants to make hundreds of femenized seeds.

does the male have to be the same strain as the female, like say i got a female auto Northern light, can i put a male skunk with it and will the seeds still be auto?

The male does not have to be the same strain (as long as it's a cannabis plant), but if you pollinate an auto with non-auto pollen, only a fraction of the seeds will grow into autoflowering plants (autoflowering is a recessive trait).
