Hello community,

I am into my 5th week of flowering two Black Cherry Soda plants and everything looks good. My concern is that I just examined my trichs and about 50% of them are purple . I though it was conventional wisdom that once your trichs darkened it was time to harvest. I am only into my 5th week so should my trichs be this dark yet? Should I harvest now? What say you ?

See the problem with going by trichs is they are not always clear/cloudy/amber. Wait for the swell then check again. Pics of the whole plant would help more then you think.

They look to be ripening already, how long since you've flipped the lights?
Did your trichomes start out light purple/pink?
Are the trichomes still standing up with ball heads or falling over with mushroom heads?

I would say about half of the trichs have fallen down and about half of them are still standing upright. 50/50 at this point...for some reason the photo I took you can't see the purple trichs... I had to install twine to hold them up because the buds are so heavy the plants started falling over. The trichs started out clear maybe with a pinkish hue once they got cloudy. I flipped the lights about 5 weeks ago

I don't see any purple in the trichs, some red hairs, definately have a way to go still, but I think I do see something else.........have you investigated those splotchy white patches on your fan leaves? What's your humidity like? Got plenty of air flow?
Like I said above the purple trichs are not visible in the picture , when you look at it with a loop you can see them .. I think the iPhone camera I used and the lighting is not showing them.

Oh the white spots .. I had a little white mildew about a week ago and I sprayed it down with Baking Soda and water .. What you see is the Baking Soda residue.. I got the mildew under control.. I had to install a dehumidifier and a heater to keep the temps around 55 at night... That's under control.

Well it looks very hybrid like but, seems to be an early finisher, those tops have a nice size for 5 weeks in flower! Double check them in 2-4 weeks. Get those nutes in check.

I'm using Fox Farms Grow Big and Tiger Bloom and floralicious and liquid Kabloom , I've flushed last weekend with fresh water with a little neem oil added to it to help fight off the mildew. I think Im good .. I will give them another 2 weeks and see where i'm at.
