what's wrong with my autos?

HI all, newbie here just like a lot of you. I have 1 semi successful hydro grow under my belt. I grew jock horror in bubble buckets, had a few temp problems and moved the plants a lot but still harvested a few ounces.

This is my first time trying autos. I have a girl scout cookie, blue dream, pineapple express and bubblicious autos in Rockwood cubes. Germinated in paper towel for 2 days, all showed taproot with no issue. I gently placed them in the rockwool and lightly pinched the cubes shut. 1 day after sprout i hung my cfl (6 walmart bulbs) light fixture. Its been hanging for 1 day now and they look like this. Temp are mid 70s, I had them on a heating pad inside a humidity dome, but have since turned it off and removed the dome lid since seeing the plants.

Is my light too strong or close? I had it hanging about 5 inches about over but have moved it up to around 1 foot. The cubes were pretty wet but i squeezed some more water out, they are borderline dry now. Dunno if maybe I over saturated? I hope i provided the necessary info. Looking forward to your guys advice

The bottom right is showing the worst symptoms. One of the cotyledons (I think they're called) is half turned brown. Might be hard to see in the pic idk. I soaked Rockwool in 5.5 pH for a few hrs. I'm thinking either too intense of light or over watering

I wouldn't worry about them being wet or be squezzing the water out

just let them be and they'll dry on there own
you haven't added any type of nutes yet have you?
if youve not added anything except water

you could be right about the light possibly being to much too soon nothing to lose rasing them for a bit
or run fewer bulbs the light and as soon as they start to stretch lower it back down

No nuts yet, just PhD tap water. Maybe I'm just looking to deep into it, I'm really wanting them to work lol. Thanks for the response

dude chill it's a plant....yeah your light was close probably a hot spot ...no biggie...and don't let your seedling dry....like ever...ever.
and I feed light nutes as soon as they have first true leaf..are you using Rockwood the whole grow or soil, coco, dwc?

Planned on doing bubble buckets again, although I do have supplies to make an ebb and flow tray..I'd rather do the buckets for now than try and figure out that system. I plan on making a grow journal once these plants take off. Doing big things in my shed! Lol this is a super skunk and white widow females germed about a week ahead of the autos

I like my t5's I have 4 berry haze seedling 2 time the size of that in about a week and a 1\2 from germination....I would repot those 2 into a 1 gallon for now...they'll grow a lot faster

I have 3 gallon pots ready just haven't made the switch yet. I plan on setting up 2 flower areas and running the skunk and widow as mothers for awhile while harvesting a few autos. It's all working out in my mind but I gotta be patient lol.

I'll be needing at least 1 more light I was gonna wait and see how this 300 watt galaxy hydro led worked out before deciding what to get. I've got 400 watt mh/hps and a home made cfl fixture. The final grow room will be 4x12 with 2 flower cabinets and a veg/clone/mother area. Was thinking of trying out a t5 for the mothers and clones

1000w hps for VEG 1000w hps for flower and a t5 to start

she's small compared to the normal ones...she's 5' high and 5' wide...I had a empty flower room so I rushed her in there...but she'll give a little over a pound... that's my current setup...7 in VEG different stages and I'm gonna have 2 in flower starting next week... wanted to VEG a little longer

Beautiful plants dude. I'm jelly. I might just have to go for a 1000 watt hps for my next light. I wanna give led a chance but I'm pretty impatient lol. Thanks for sharing dude

When should I start light nutes on the rockwool autos? Wait for a few sets of leaves? I don't want to stunt them anymore than they already are

now...
what nutes you using? and repot those plants man

yeah hps costs a lot to run but the quality and yield are awesome

No nutes on anything yet. The soil is Scotts moisture something..it has nutes in it I believe

I've also noticed that your guys lights are a LOT closer..I've got a 400 mh and the 300 galaxy hydro hanging about 2 feet above the 2 soil plants. I wanted to start them off easy. One of the cotyledons turned a black color but I'm not sure if it was my soil or what

all build by hand from scratch. ran electric build walls ran vents

I hang my 1000watts about 12" above my plants...my t5's 6"

I can see from those pics. How much bud was that harvest? Hell of a cola. What nutes do you run? I have the 3 from general hydroponics I used in my first grow but not sure if I want to use them again or not.

Here's a pic of my first grow. The 2 jock horror bubble buckets. They went through a lot but turned out great considering. I ended up with almost 4 full mason jars, didn't get a weight

I run the gh trio...works fucking great...I'll never switch....give 5ml\gallon of each right now they'll like it...and I run coco, wicked easy. ...I'm showing you diffrent grows but all grown the same and all yielding over a pound per plant

yeah I would rather do a top feed coco recurculating over dwc....I like my straight coco. cause if I were to go in my rooms once a week just the change the res, shit would go bad fast
