Whats wrong with my Clone?

I have this clone under a 400w hps the light is about 3 feet away, in the last week it has been turning yellow the leaves are curling in half. its in mg potting soil i havent given it any nutes so its not nute burn, not over watering i really need to figure this out maybe i need to give it some nutes? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Did you use any type of rooting compound? Has it developed roots at all yet??

It may just need some nutes. When they are this young, I don't suggest using more than 1/4 strength nutes... You can always add more, but you can't take away as easily.

looking at the picture some more, I think she just needs some nutrients. Go ahead and start giving her 1/4 strength nutes and I'm sure she'll bounce back for you. Make sure you have your pH level correct, as well... The yellowing leads me to believe the plant is starving for some Nitrogen... Good luck.

Just so you know, a PH of 2 is Very Acidic, would probably say plants will survive less then a day in that.

Oh also, forgot to mention you hijacked this thread. Start your own, and ask your questions :)

i hijacked this thread?i asked a question.im new to this site and if i new how to post a thread i would of done.and a ph of 2 in my grow medium isnt acidic its close to alkaline as it says on my ph/moist metre.the grow medium has been like this for about 4 days now.i sugested flushing because i was geting a white dry liquid on the bottom of my containers what my plants stand in.i feed them from the bottom.by the way this is my first grow and everything looks good so far.i only wanted to flush because i dont want anything going wrong.thanks for the advice tho:)

it is almost physically inmpossible to be able to reply to a thread but not create a thread

and a PH of 2 is almost as acidic as it gets... not even close to alkali? how old are you, alkali and acid ph tables is stuff you learn at 14, a ph of 2 is not good..

a white DRY liquid" lol, that is most likely just salt residue etc, fill a glass of water and leave it for a week in the sun, look at the stains laeft inside the glass, same thing.

and feed from the top if it's simple soil and pots.

i think you're doing things wrong :)

toss that meter in the garbage it is not from this world. 1-7 is acidic 7-14 is alkaline. do those clones even have roots? 1/2 strength is probably too much right now.

Deff Acidic use a little lime to get it up.

And to the guy who started the Thread. i agree with my man up top looks like no good roots have established yet.

how old am i im 22.and its only a cheap metre i bought just to check the ph in my soil.its like got 2 long prongs an a metre at top of the prongs and it goes from alkaline to acidic and when i check the soil with it,it stays at the alkaline end and reads about 2.and yes they do have roots.they stand about 9" high at the moment.thanks everyone for your inputs:).also sorry to the guy i hijacked if i did.View attachment 913495View attachment 913496View attachment 913497View attachment 913498View attachment 913499View attachment 913500

throw that meter in the bin it's bollocks and will give you absolutely nothing in terms of accuracy. i killed a 5 foot flowering passion#1 due to the lovely accuracy of it's Ph probe.

check the ph of your soil by measuring the PH of runoff water.

Use finely granulated dolomite lime in the soil, or when you water.

The dolomite lime will keep the ph level perfect for the remainder of your grow.

Good luck :)

MG is loaded with nutes, and is probably the problem. I'm not bashing MG, but it is not great for clones that don't have roots.

yes it needs to get fertilized it is severly lacking nitrogen as well as others MG soil just doesnt cut it by itself with these plants
