Whats wrong with my leaves?

20140523_023044.jpg This is my first grow. I posted a thread wondering how much longer it would be for my grow to be finished, now I've run into a problem.
Let's start with the basics: I am using a 2' width, 2'w depth, 4' height grow space, the flowering space I'm dealing with is only about 3' tall. 250 watt HPS lamp with 2 T5 side lighting.
The issue is: I started off with 5 plants but just within the past week I had to sacrifice my two weakest because they were outgrowing their space. Along with the space issue i have run out off pH testing drops. I kind of have an idea of what the issue may be, but i want confirmation that my guess is right. I believe it could be pH issues or they have gotten to close to the lamp and got burned... please help. I've left a pic of a leaf i had to cut off... I'm devastated, it might be affecting my buds.

Looks like nutrient burn, what and how much are you feeding them?
I had it at 1700 ppms at first ....it did good it drunk up 2 gallons of water in 2 days ...i put less nutes in which it was at 1600 ppm and i saw some leaf burn on alot of em ....maybe because i folded up one of my plants that didn't flower yet to give the plants that are budding more room

If this was in veg 1700 is way to much. I don't use nutrients in veg while in soil. I use compost and some bat/seabird guanos and just feed water all the way until flowering. I start around 700 ppm for the first three weeks of flowering and increase up to about 1300.

The herm trait can and will work out after a few runs.. IMO the best of crosses come from a herm Mother. That may sound crazy, that's just my opinion on this matter though. Im not talking about a full blown herm though. Im meaning like 1 or 2 nanners. lol ;) I just seclude them if it happens, & let them do there thing. If you take a few extra measures to prevent form any cross pollination, it ll be A ok. ;)
