Whats your opinion on all Metal Halide for flower

Just wondering what page everyone is on when it comes to talking about using Metal Halide

according to the bible it works great.........hps would be ideal, but metal halide can flower successfully

If you are blasting it with a 1000watt MH then yeah you'll get some bud from that, but if you are talking the tiny 70watt MH lamps forget it, you might as well use CFL's.

It will work, you won't get as much flowering as if you gave it the same wattage in the red spectrum of light that it needs, but it will work.

my only thoughts would be... stretching.

alternating internodes.. (uneven nodes can KILL your density/harvest).

I've used MH through both and HPS thru both. To me, the IDEAL is a mixed spectrum in both phases. But to answer you Q, yes you'll be fine. It's done all the time. In fact, if I had to use one or the other, I'd go with MH simply because it's easier on my eyes. You'll get just as much bud as you would have with HPS. Any difference would be measured in grams. As far as stretching goes, keep 'em close to the tops as normal. They will not stretch due to the MH alone. Some people say that the nugs will be fluffier and less dense, but that hasn't been MY experience. I've seen no noticeable difference.
