So, 18 year old fresh out of a 13 month relationship. Always have been shy, but looking to go after another girl. Thing is, I really don't fucking know how to start up a good conversation. Its not like I'm ugly, just stupid when it comes to starting conversations and knowing how to keep them going.
So, at an attempt to get a girlfriend before I graduate high school, tomorrow I am going to talk to this really cute girl in the class I TA for. I have decided that I am going to sit next to her, talk to one of my friends about senior breakfast that was today, and then turn around and ask her if she went and what she thought about it. I've come up with possible dialouges, please let me know if you think it'll flow and how I can improve.
Me: (talking to friend) "did you go to senior breakfast"
Friend: yeah
Me: how was it? Did you like it?
friend: yeah it was all right man (goes slightly into detail)
Me: (turns to girl) what about you? Did you go to senior breakfast?
girl: yeah
Me: what'd you think about it?
Girl: it was ok. The food was good
Me: oh really? (In an interested tone) what all did they have there
Girl: lists generic breakfast foods that would be at a buffet
me: what about the scrambled eggs? My history of Vietnam teacher was telling me how all 25 years he's worked here the eggs were always nasty (insert cute laugh here)
girl: nah I didn't try them
me: (hah) that's probably a good thing then
Me: did you go to prom too?
girl: yeah it was ok. Did you go?
me: nope. I didn't have a date
Conversation drops off here :\
Starting same as above, continuing where I start talking to her
Me: did you go to senior breakfast?
girl: no
Me: yeah neither did I. I heard it wasn't that good. Plus it was really expensive. I can get so much more with $35
girl: yeah I know
Me: I thought prom would be a waste to go to this year too cause I went last year. Plus I didn't have a date. Did you go?
Girl: no
me: oh how come?
Girl: lists reason. Likely didn't have date
me: well that makes two of us then haha. I just stayed home and got some recording done playing drums
girl: oh you play drums?
me: yeah. I've only been playing since December but I think I'm pretty good. Not to be cocky or anything (haha) like when I was little, I'd always be found banging on stuff so I guess I'm a natural
conversation dies here
So what do you all think of this? What ways can it be improved? I'm REALLY attracted to this girl and don't want to fuck up my chance. And I can't wait because there's only 4 weeks of school left. I've never met this girl before so its just going to be that much harder for me to get the balls to talk to her.
I was also thinking about going up to her and saying "I'm probably going to start blushing in a few seconds, but I think you're really cute and wanted to get to know you"
there's nowhere to go from there though so Idk about that one

). The best thing is to say ''the truth'', pay interest in what she says. REMEMBER: most girls feel EXACTLY as you described, not knowing how to talk to a guy...trust me, I know. Good Luck!
