I love to grow! Grown pot for about 5 years now and just this year have really got a hang of it. I've tried different a few ways of growing (dug holes filled with compost or poting soil, grow bags, planted straight into the ground.) but the best way of growing for me is raised beds. I make large piles of compost all summer long. Then about this time of year I haul the compost out to each of my grow sites and make piles of 3 cubic yards or more. Each pile is then covered with 6"-8" of top soil. By june 1st the compost is ready and cooled down enough for planting. Compared to the other methods i've used this one tops them all. The buds are much danker than some other ways. this is the only way i've used that I haven't had to deal with ANY nutrient deficiency. So whats your grow plan? How have had to adapted to your area for max harvast? Organic/conventional? What Problems had you had to deal with and how did you fix it?
We do the same thing you do. I'm legal so I grow close by and use nothing but the soil we make from our compost bins. UNBELIEVABLE in every way. I did add molasses during flowering this year and did notice a sweeter small. It's harvest time here,CRAZY!
Everything was looking good this year and was going to be a great harvast but, my herd of cows got out and ate, shit, stepped on everything. I managed to save enough for me to smoke
for 6 months or so. fortunently, the one that didnt bite the dust was the only one that I pollinated so I have enough seeds for next year.
Maby I'll do a grow journal next year or head indoors and do outsidegrows first inside grow
