when and how much do i water in the beginning stages???

i have fox farm ocean forest soil in there when do i water..my light 45watt..is on for 16 then off for 8 hours..good???they are ak48[white strain]4rm nirvana.com

Ya water when the soil is dry about 1/2 inch. When ya water ya give them a good soaking.
