When people harvest and they want to germinate the seeds from thier plant .
How long does one have to wait before the seeds can be put in soil, or between paper or however one starts seeds. I have read through the Forum and cant find any info on how to tell . I know where i can get them i just want to try and see what happens.Am i missing the Obvious, the seeds are ready when the buds are Dry?
i have to ask a Newbee questin every once and awhile.

I dry seeds as long as bud. I have not used fresh from the tree seeds to start a crop.

so i looked and looked and looked. good question. i can't find the answer. i checked all my books. they explain how to seed. how to tell when seeds are ready to harvest. then it jumps right into long term storage. several different books do this. it must have been a magazine. i have 100's so i'm not going thru those. sorry. i would say if the are dried first for a few weeks. you could try and see what happens.

peoples, if this is from your grow you must have hundreds of seeds. you could try a few now and see what happens. put the rest all somewhere dark, cool, and dry and let em go dormant. if the first ones don't take in a few days try a few more, etc etc etc. then you can tell us how it goes so we all know :-)

if you only have a few seeds I'd put em away for a couple of weeks at least to let em go to sleep.

yeah, like that. it seems i read something about having to go thru a dormant cycle. i could be WAY off on this. i'd go with the test a few every week idea.

Some searching was dun and your right, also i was informed tht you can go right into the soil, the more i think about it , the seed is imersed in water till it roots, if its alreadywet then it still should root, But as i read more , i learn more about dormancy

I have done this. I waited a month after the harvest. The normal cycle would be for the seeds to drop on the ground and be there until the next spring. Got thirty out of about 50 to germinate and sprout. VV
