Do I have to wait until it is dired out?

Can I cure it just like the buds to make it better before I use it for butter?

For butter does it have to be shredded or does it matter? If shredded then it would be best dried out, No?

Dry it. Grind it. Fill a jar with it. Fill that jar with Everclear to about 1/2" from the top and seal. Shake daily. Maybe a few times a day. In 30 days strain with a screen.
