Hi I have some ladies outside who are just over 2 feet tall. They wont start flowering for a few more weeks i dont think. Harvest here is usually in Oct but I was wondering when I should start tying these girls down. Im looking to maximize my yield. Should I wait until they start to flower? Im also worried they might get too heavy if I do it too early? Thanks everyone!

Id start as soon as possible it seems to make it less stressful on the plant. Just do it gradually so you dont snap branches and stress the plants. What do you mean get too heavy by doing it too early?

I mean if the branches grow to long and the buds grow too heavy. Causing the branch to collapse under the weight of the buds.

It buds differently and distributes the weight better when its been taught to grow horizontally more. I still say starting as early as possible would be best so that the branches are nice and strong when it comes to flowering.

Does anyone know how often I should tie down branches? Just wondering if I should be tying down a lot of them or what?
