When do you chop yours?

I leave the plants in darkness for two days before chopping mine. It makes the buds use up their last remaining starches to produce THC and the lights evap less of the oils.

I just harvest right away when I have time. I find it easier to trim healthy growth than drooping dying plants.

Thanks for the replies. The reason I asked is I read a post in which a guy(don't remember who) said he could taste a difference in bud harvested at different times during the photoperiod. He said he always chopped his plants when the lights first came on and NEVER after the lights had been on all day. I don't know if he was taking one bud or branch at one time and then taking another from the same plant a little later and so on.
It seems to me that later in the photoperiod would give more of a chlorophyl taste. Am I mistaken or just mistokin'?

Slow drying and good curing will take care of the chlorophyll taste you just have to give it time to break down into sugars. Slow drying is the best way to do it, I dry my buds really slow over about a week and a half turning them every day. Then I put them in mason jars to store and cure. For the stuff I am currently smoking I keep in a humidor.

Thanks NewGrowth. I've always done the slow drying thing but never had the patience to cure my bud. I will now. I've learned to be patient watching my girls grow.
