When is a plant considered vegging?

ok, so i have looked alot, and i found all kinds of places that say well seedling stage lasts 1-3 weeks, some say 2-4 weeks, i've seen some plants called veg stage from seed at like 2 weeks with about 3 nodes and no branches and some call this still seedling stage.

im confused...lol

it's still vegging...vegging is pretty much the growth of the plant until it flowers...you can actually veg for as long as you want...well unless you have auto flowering plants

i think of a seedling as a delicate plant with a soft stem. as soon the plant starts rapid growth and gets a firm looking green stem it's in full veg (not a seedling anymore) and ready for some nutes
