When should bottom branches and leaves be removed? +rep (SOG)

i currently growing the sea of green method and i am about to switch to 12/12 and was wondering when should i remove the bottom branches and leaves under tresling (net) so its easier to water?:joint:

well, quite frankly?? That wouldn't be a smart idea actually.

Why would you want to do that? Your going to stress the hell out of your plants..

Its counterproductive to begin with.. so I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Good luck either way though.

never mind i figured it out, you wait till they are done stretching and what ever cant see the light under the screen get rid of it.

TRIM??? Almost every part of my girls has flowers on her top to bottom inside and out, why the hell would ya reduce your yield like that? Let em fall off if they need to, the plant knows what to do I LST and a few leaves drop off always so light can penetrate deeper, naturally.

its called SOG, google it, it produces more weed faster,.. and thanks for the great input, im sure humboldt appreciates it

I trim out the bottom of the plant (lollipopping) continuously until they stop stretching, then after week 5 or so I'll start removing remaining fan leaves to thin out the canopy a bit. If your plant is branchy it's a good idea to thin the number of colas that will be produced too, do this as they stretch or right after.

Lollipopping has many advantages... less to trim, bigger, higher quality colas, easier to water, better air circulation and better resistance to powdery mildew.

Im confused i didnt kno u needed a screen for SOG for a SCROG i would see y u would cut the leaves under the screen no light+easier 2 water but in SOG i thought it was 2-4 plants a square foot and if ur doing SOG i think those pots r kinda big but i guess thats a SOG ..I think ur gonna need more space when those babaies start 2 bud unless u get ALOT of single colas..somebody correct me if im wrong..SOG-2-4 plants a sq ft..flowered as soon as they root..little 2 no veg..
