When to change ferts

Hey all,

Just trying to work out when the best time to change from nutrients high in nitrogen to nutrients higher in P and K are? Do you have to wait for actual budding to form? or do you wait from pre flowers? or do you have to wait untill the days get shorter? (outdoor grower here).

any help appreciated

I change feeding schedules as soon as I change to 12/12, and I have heard of others doing it even sooner, like a few days in advance of the switch.

I'm not sure whether it is the optimal time to change, but it hasn't caused me any problems up to now. I'm not sure how you would apply this info to an outdoor grow though, unfortunately.
