when to cut your clones ?

:?: Now ive been reading on when to cut my plants for harvest. Some people say to cut after 24 or 36 hours of darkness so most of the sugars and starches will be in the root system, while this is said to increase resin production also. As i understand it, during the daylight hours, sugars and starches are drawn into the plant to promote growth.

:?: So , my question is.... When should you take your cuttings ? before the light comes on(with sugars and starches in the root system)?, or just after(within an hour) ?, or after the light has been on for 6 to 12 hours(with sugars and starches in plant) ?????????:?:

Ive cloned a few times now with some decent success. But I thought this angle as to when to cut clones might be interesting and a good question to ask. Thanks for all input ahead of time. Roll a Fatty for me. My first batch just went into a 36 hour dark period before i cut and hang them.:eyesmoke:

ive been cutting my clones a week after i flip them to 12/12. I dont want to much flower on my cuttings and i think its more of a shock if they are to far into flowering. A friend and I took some cuttings from his outdoor crop that was almost done. It took forever for them to reveg and start growing again. Some other cuttings I took from mine that were just flipped to 12/12 took right off and have passed the others in terms of growth even though the ones from outdoor were taken a month earlier.

But im wondering what time of day to cut, not what time of growth cycle to cut. Ive seen that cuttings with more flowers take longer to reveg and i think take the shock harder.

I believe it should be done after the plant is 2 months old. If you clone after flowering is started it will take about 4 to 6 weeks for the plants to show new veg growth.

when a seed is 2 months old it is old enough to start taking clones off of it and you should always take clones when the light has been on for a while because that sugar and such that it has in it when that light is on the cutting will be using that energy to help root

I've watched a video that you can use a green light and it aperintly won't wake the plants up but if you can't get a green light try to use a very very weak light or if you have some thing that you can use to see in the dark then use that when you harvest.
