When to flower? Give 10 days after final transplant or no? Roots showing

Hey everyone,

i was told that I need to wait 10 days after transplanting to start flowering, but I can see roots out of the side drain holes & it's only been 6 days. Any advice? Went from 3-7 gallon containers.

Additional info if its helpful:
*currently vegging under a 8 bulb 4' fluorescent t-5
*foxfarm nutes +foxfarm soil
*root organics root uprising
*one diesel is 16", the other 15", the flo is 11.5"(really spread out)

Any advice or help is much appreciated

You can definitely flower right now. Or you could veg them a lot bigger and get more in the end. Depends on how much light you're gonna give them

So if I veg longer would it be best to transplant first (just hate for them to get root bound, especially during flowering)
if I can veg longer & get more in the end then I would love to do that.

Space shouldn't be a limitation I don't believe. My flowering room will be a 5x5x7 gorilla tent & I can get the extension to make it 10 foot tall. Under a 600w HPS.

7 gallons is plenty for any indoor plant i rarely go above a 3 gallon smart pot and this is with 5ft plants 2+ft in width at times before the flip.
so IMO i ould say no worries whether you decide to veg longer or flower now.
Like someone already said though watch out for the stretch once you flip ause those babies are gonna take flight especially with all that etra room for her roots to stretch out.

Ok so if I wanted to veg longer def could & would be better in the end? I wanna veg them as long as possible without them getting root bound during flowering. Sounds like I should be fine even if I veg for another 4-10 days based on your post?

Sorry I'm a new grower lol but thank you so much for helping out!

yeah your good but i dont know what your height limitations are so be prepared for as much as 3x height once they are done. If your worried about root bound plants pick up some kind of off brand smart pots for like 3 bucks a 5gallon pot ie. boxer brown, gropro, rootpots, etc

yeah man, don't be worried about being root bound, believe me, your pots are plenty big enough.

...this is a mother of my grobro's that has been in this same 9oz cup of coco since i gave it to him as a rooted cut almost 2 years prior to when this picture was taken.

...these were flowered in 2 liter Coke bottle coco hempy buckets, something i strongly recommend you learn about if you don't already know. (together these yielded just shy of 4 zipz so almost a quarter elbow in just 4 liters of coco)

...this one was from a freebie pack and it turned out to be a true sativa and i ended up culling her at 19 weeks, and she still wasn't finished, lol, ...anyway, note the 3liter Gingerale coco hempy 'bucket'.

...you can't see the 'pots' but these were also grown in 3 liter 'pots'.

...and this is a little more current.

...all flowered in 6 liter coco hempy 'buckets', aka dollar store trash cans, lol, around a single 600HPS in a 4 x 4 space, ...note that this pic is of a re-veg almost ready to be flipped for the second time.

trust me man, 'root bound' isn't something you need to be worried about.

peace, bozo
