When to flower?

Ok folks, this is my first grow and I'm brand spankin new to rollitup. I was just curious about how much I could expect my plants to grow after I swich them to 12/12. I've heard it both ways: They almost stop growing once you switch them, OR they double to triple in height. I just dont want to veg a few plants to 4ft. and wind up with a 9ft. monster in my closet. Conversely, I don't want to veg it to a foot and a half and have it not grow at all after that.

Has it been 40 days or more? if yes, switch to 12/12, they will go through a growth period, alot depends on how strong your light is and other variebles...need more info to be more detailed...

It's been about 30 days, I'm using 4 23 watt CFLs right now, and Ive got a 400W MH setup in reserve. They are about 8 inchs tall, with 4 full leaf sets, so to my eyes, the're just little one. I don't know what strain my plants are, no sense in buying seeds for attempt one. One square meter of grow space, 7 feet high with 2 plants. Just kinda messing around for the first try, and hoping one is a female.

Anyway they will continue to grow as long as you have light water and air (until the cycle ends)

The size that they grow will vary on those factors-

Hmmm, never realy messed with CFL"s, why dont you use that MH, they will love it! They sound just a bit small but tight, if I were you , just add the MH to the lights you already using for like 2 more weeks, than go to 12/12.

Keep it in veg for at least 10 more days.
Don't use the mh bulb for the flower you want you use hps they are different light spec.
blue for veg and red for flower-

Flowering will take 6-12 weeks depending on the stand-

If switched them in 10 days (say they are 12-14") to 12/12, how tall they gonna get by harvest/ what kind of yeild am I looking at? I know its hard to answer this kind of question, but I don't need an exact answer. Would I benefit from growing them bigger than that?

Ohh let it go man and let it be a surprise...The trouth is, nobody knows, its an experiment... By the way, it would be better to flower them under an HPS light, but if you aint got it , use that MH and CFLs more light = more bud...

I Don't Think Anyone Can Answer That Question.
There Are Too Many Variables.

If They Go In At 12" Tall And You Use The Same Lighting And Nothing Changes They Should Grow 50% To 150%

Lumens Are One Of The Key Factors In Growing-
So If You Only Have 5 Cfl @ 1600 Lumens Each That Only = 8000 Lumens- Not Very Much At All- So You Will Be Better To Use That Mh Unless You Can Afford A Hps System.

You Really Want 2700k Spec In The Flowering Stage. This Will Make Bigger Buds-
