when to harvest question

hello ,

do i wait until the trichs turn amber or the pistels? right now i have about 5-10% amber on the pistols but trichs are still clear .

2nd part to question - if i am waiting for the trichs to turn color does this still mean my buds have more filling out to do .

info - lemon skunk - on day 28 of 12/12 most info for this strain says you can harvest at 5 weeks but 7 is better and it looks like i am on target ( maybe a little faster ) using bubbleponics and advanced nutes .

im growing a skunk and im at 7 weeks on Sat. and im def giving it about 3 more weeks before i harvest. Skunks are at there absolute best at 10 weeks (atleast the 25 skunk plants that a friend of mine as well as my brother and myself have been grwing with for the last 2 yrs.) also curious question, does your skunk smell very strongly on the plant? Its seemed that out Super Skunks seem to have a very low odor on the plant but hwne harvested and cured they reek!

i'm growing lemon skunk in a cfl cabinet using a 200 watt cfl bulb and have the exhuast filtering thru a homemade carbon filter - i get zero smell outside of the box and a wild citrus/tropical flower smell on the inside with a hint of skunk smell only when i open the cabinet . now i did get some skunk clones of ??? and they stink at only 5 inches - not condusive of a stealth grow so i opted to give them to a buddy who has them in an area of less risk .

some people get the lemon skunk i have confused with lemon diesel and other lemon strains that have more smell - mine is the origonal lemon skunk from the early 80's when people were looking for an odourless starin to grow - this is pretty good as i can only picture a 10 plus plant being fairly odorless except for the citrus smell that wouldn't make you think pot .

try a carbon filter on the exhaust like i have done and you'll be impressed how it scrubs the air clean .

as far as my grow is going it looks like i am on schedule or even a little quicker as i used the bubbleponics method - haveing grown outdoors/indoors with dirt - i will continue with the hydro , so much better and easier .
