When to put under HPS???

When is it a good time to go from floros to HPS, My plants are 4 days old and under floro,s 80 watts, When should I put them under a 400HPS? Thanks for any help!!!

Depends how long you wanna veg. 4 days old will burn them up

Now. I start under my 400w hps.

The rule of thumb is 2 weeks.

Agreed. After that, I usually start with the HPS light away from the top of the plants and take the light down gradually until I reach the sweet spot. Then adjust the height of the light according to growth!

I used to start all my seeds under a 400w hps wihtout a single issue.

I start mine under a 400 mh never had a problem.

Just started mine under a 600 there looking fine so far but the light is really high up.
