when to stop using cal-mag in flowering?

Hey guys, I'm in week two of flower & i've asked this question to friends & got different answers.so I'm growing in coco & I'm using general hydroponics flora nova, with liquid koolbloom also cali-magic, so when should I stop using cali-magic? Thanks & peace everyone!

i grow in a peet/coco mix, you probably need to use a little more than i do. But what i do is when i initially put the plants into flower i give them cal-mg every other watering with other supplements (not much or any NPK) for the first few watering's. Feed on the waterings between (i stay with veg nutes like almost even NPK for first 3 weeks after 12/12) i have found i onl;y need to give them 2 full strgth cal/mg waterings for them to make it through flower without an issue. My NPK has some cal/mg in it as well, you will likely want to follow this program up in week 4-5 with another cal-mg feeding or two as the coco leeches it out..

I personally don't ever stop with the calmag.
I do however reduce the
EC of my nute solution towards the end. The plants just don't use/need as much as they would in peak flower;-)
When using floranova in any medium EXCEPT coco, I never, ever needed to exceed 5ml/gal of the floranova. I will usually drop it down to say 4ml/gal, when i'm 2 weeks out, then MAYBE 3ml/gal for the last week.

If in coco, I'm usually doing 4ml/gal of floranova bloom, and usually 2.5ml/gal of calmag(this amount depends on the hardness, or lack of, in the water i'm starting with). I would usually reduce each of the floranova AND calmag down around 25% for the last two weeks.
You could reduce even further if you really wanted to, but I USALLY only reduce the nute strength by about 25%.
It really depends on what your plants look like though. Sometimes i'll reduce 50% for the last week;-)
Like I mentioned in another thread, check your run-off. It will show you that they start using less, towards the end.

It's sooooo easy to fall short in the Ca and/or Mg department when growing in coco, especially the 2nd half of flowering. The last thing you would want to do is take away the calmag. Peace

Can't stress this enough.

I've found my own grows need elevated levels of ca especially during flower.

Over time the cocos calcium nitrate buffer diminishes and I find that a recharge of Ca every 7-10 days helps greatly.

I bump up my Mg level a little bit when/if I'm adding a pk booster.

I use 2ml / liter (8ml per gallon) of the GH FloraNova Grow and that's it. But that's on mother plants and they built up a good tolerance. I don't use any calmg with the floranova I think it contains quite a bit of cal/mg in it.
