When to take clones?

Hi everybody,
I read almost everything new i can find on this site, And lately i found growers saying they take cuttings 2 weeks or so into flowering. is that because the plant is in the transition phase and the clones will still technically be vegging? I have a pineapple express mother but when i clone it for my box i will take clones from the actual box from then on. what is the longest i can wait before taking clones after switching to flowering?

You can take clones throughout flowering, but it will take them a while to get established.

I have heard about a '2 week into flowering' timeframe. I think this is a good timeframe so your clones are ready for flowering when the original plant is ready for harvest.
Most recommend taking clones during veg, from a lower branch shoot.

I try to take most of my clones from plants just going from the veg room to the flowering room.

Taking a clone is removing a piece of the plant and a cutting will reproduce what the donor/mother plant is doing.
Plants start to flower 7-10 days after jumping from 20/4 to 12/12. So any clones/cuttings should be taken before mom has been in flower
a week. If you wait too long mom will already have started flowering and the clone will be a tiny little bonsai-looking plant that will take
a month or more to catch up.
