When will my plants bud?

In Massachusetts when does your bud usually start to bud because I want to know what I can grow next year outside without the frost getting to them.

nice, im in mass too. it depends on the strain though. you should have plenty of time if you start in begining of june, or whenever our weather starts to get warm

start early so you can get good veg time,my plants start flowering late aug-sept. in ohio

yeah start them indoors under a bank of CFL's then transplant them outdoors in May/June

in mass they start blooming around late august depending on strain. just stay away from anything overly sativa because the frost will come before it finishes. average first frost date in mass is mid to late oct, depending on location. no mexican bagseed, please. that stuff is almost always sativa dom and i can't tell you how many sacks i've had to turn down because someone tried to grow a sativa in mass and had to harvest before it was done. the growing season is a bit short in mass so i would try to veg it to at least 8 inches before setting it outside.
