When Will they Fatten Up? Week 6 Flower

So I just started flower week 6. She's definitely smelling great and frosty. When will I start to see the colas fatten up a bit more and put on some weight? This is a Blue Agave x OGKB hybrid strain. Growing in DWC.

My nutes are general hydroponics flora trio at about half strength to keep the ppm from getting out of hand.

Yeah they should fatten up soon. Patience.

And what do you mean by "at about half strength to keep the ppm from getting out of hand"? How does PPM get "out of hand"?

I Also grow DWC and I simply listen to my plants and 100% disregard dosage on the bottle. I test PPM's daily in conjuction with ph and what I want is the ph to slightly rise while PPM slightly drops. If PPM drops too much then I the plants need more nute/higher PPM. If the PPM goes UP then they need less nutes/PPM. PPM generally increses throughout the grow. Its pretty straight forward so Im not really sure how that could get "out of hand". They just get what they demand.

Like you said, trying not to add too many nutes. Trying to avoid burn and lockout. In flower I've tried to stay around 1000ppm. Recently I've noticed they been drinking the water but they ppm goes up.

Yeah cool cool. Seems like you've got it under control so all good.

Still not sure what that has to do with "half strength" or "getting out of hand"...the wording just threw me off I guess. None of the nutrients I've ever used listed PPMs. It always just states volume like 2.5ml per 1L. I've never tested the PPM of 2.5ml/L so I don't even know what half strength is. I go 100% off of the PPM of my reservoir, just adding nutrients until I reach where I need to be. You're probably not at imminent risk of burning your plants or getting lockout if your PPM is going down daily and your ph is in the right range, and if it (PPM) stops dropping or slighly rises then you just add plain water to bring it down...so it never gets "out of hand". Its all just constant adjustments regardless...up, down, sideways, whatever.
