When your clones are green and...

I made some clones about two weeks ago. A few days ago I learned I should have them under light for extended periods (not just ambient light). Anyway, they spent almost the entire day yesterday out from under the dome, only misted a couple of times. The stems seem to be "firm" in the soil, but I'm hesitant to transplant just yet. Unless folks think they're ready to go. :)

I'm gonna make more clones today and want to free up the dome if they're just about ready, I want them to have a few days in before I hit SoCal next week. Papaya, Conquistador, and Cali. Indica x Big Bud. Might try to clone my one unknown bagseed girl again, not decided on #15.

If all they've had is ambient light they may not have rooted at all. They need good light to grow roots.

hmm, so your cloning in the bags you intent to grow in? Two weeks should be enough time for the plants to root. My clones stay in the humidity dome for a few days under 24hrs of light, then I mist them a couple of times a day and the roots are popping out of the starter plugs by day 7. I would imagine 2 weeks would be plenty of time for your clones to get established.

No, I'm cloning in a really embarrassing ghetto-rig set-up. I.. I'm too embarrassed to say what I did!
But they're in soil in plastic trays and I think they're rooted. If they're able to stay with the clone dome off, and they're staying green (a few of 'em died over the past week, but for the past couple of days the rest look alright) do you think they're approaching readiness to put out in the daylight..? Or.. I guess I need to get lights rigged up for them if I want them to grow back to veg (they're taken from some outdoor plants), wouldn't I? I do have a bunch of CFLs, but don't have enough sockets/fixtures just yet and also need to buy wiring and plugs.

HD has a 5 bulb 100w bathroom fixture that will work great for cfls, mine cost me $11 USD and $3 for the cord.

No shit! We haven't got a HD, but we've got a Lowe's. Then again, might be easier to just go with the interwebs ordering method. :D Thanks.

I can find 5-light fixtures on their site for about $25. Still, not too bad.
