Where Can I Buy Super Soil Ingredients?

I have no idea where to buy all this stuff:

8 large bags of high quality organic potting soil with coco and Mycorrhizae
25-50 lbs. of organic worm castings
5 lbs. of Blood meal 12-0-0
5 lbs. Bat guano 0-5-0
5 lbs. Fish Bone Meal 3-16-0
¾ cup Epsom salt
1 cup Sweet lime (Dolomite)
½ cup Azomite ( Trace element)
2 Tbs. powdered Humic acid

I'm sorry if this seems stupid, but I called the local plant nurseries and I don't think home depot or lowes would have this stuff... do most people order the ingredients online? I have a feeling that would be really expensive as far as shipping is concerned. Maybe a route other than super soil is the best route for my outdoor grow? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

home depot, lowe's, rona, etc: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, (depending how big your store is), 9. (although they probably won't be 'organic'... they might be though.)
if you're doing OD, depending on what your ground soil is like, you might be able to get away with less potting soil, or none at all...

you can get epsom salt at any pharmacy.

*none* of the local nurseries carry bat guano?? (in a pinch other guanos will do too, but you'll want to use a bit more of them)

i think the only ones you should have trouble finding are the last 2.... but then i live in agri-land and i'm spoiled that way.
good luck.

find your local hydro store they will have some stuff, will need to order some. almost all is in hydrofarm catalog. humic acid and azomite u buy online. epsom salts @ rite aid. there are cheaper easier mixes that work great for outdoor. look in my smart pot thread for ideas and a great link i just posted.

Native soil here has a lot of clay and rock, pretty much the worst soil ever. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get fox farm ocean forest or roots soil, are there substitutes that will work like black gold? How important is a high quality base soil?

In all seriousnes you may have to buy on the internet for the hard to find things. However you can also substitute, for instance use a walmart soil instead of Roots. If you read up a lot on these threads you will find people that even swear by miracle grow.

Get you feet wet, dont go overboard and dont expect miricales, You have plenty of time to become a potsnob. Untill then, kick some cow patties with the rest of poor hillbillys and you will do fine.

Its like love. My ex use to ask me "why do you love me? what is it about me?"
And I would shrug my shoulders and say I dunno, I just do. (it was actually that tight squeeze box she played all night) Anyway about a year after we broke up, I came to the end of running an AA meeting for 6 month. You have to quit so your ego wont get inflated. People came up and hugged me and told me they loved me and that I had done a great job. It was the first time something like that had ever happened. And all these people who were pretty much the dregs of society meant every word.

So I leave the meeting and it hit me, I had to pull over, I realized why I loved her. It may sound silly but it was a great revelation. I loved her because she made me feel cared for as well as needed.

Most people just need a good mentor and a good trade that makes them feel worthwhile, not to mention a woman who forces them to grow up at 20 instead of 35, if that.

Thanks for the advice bonehead, I plan on getting my feet wet very soon indeed. As I'm typing this I'm in the difficult process of selecting which strains I'm going to use on my first grow. I'll be starting a grow journal pretty soon here as well.

On another note though, I ended up taking kushking's tip and went with his "cheaper easier mix" mentioned above. The recipe for 300 gallons is as follows:

25 bags black gold potting soil (1.5cf ea)

4 bags stutzman farms chicken manure (1 cf ea)

1 bag perlite (4 cf ea)

1 bag (50 lbs) bonemeal (steamed, not precipitated)

1/2 bag gypsum (aprox 1/2 cf) - Edit -> 1/2 of a 40 lb bag (20lbs).

Mix well, water thoroughly, let rest for 2-3 weeks minimum, transplant, and stand back

I cut this down by 1/5 because I don't need too much soil and don't have much money, and plan on growing some autos as soon as I can get seeds. I honestly have no idea what most of the ingredients in here do, does this mix look adequate to someone who knows a bit more on the subject? Also, do any of you know if autos are available in clones from marijuana dispensaries? Thanks everyone, greatly appreciated.

I am sure that soil mix will grow cannabis. My advice would be to not sweat the small stuff. Dont let your grow rent space in your head. It is a relaxing hobby that should bring calmness and serenity into your life. As you grow you will learn to read your plants as to what they need. Of course you need advice from here and other such websites which is one reason the WW has made indoor grows explode.

You do not have to do everything perfect according to what you read here. For everyone who says do this you can find other growers who swear by the opposite. Like most things in life the truth is probaly somewhere in the middle.

Bottom line: grow with what you have and take it easy, enjoy it even if things do not work out perfert, start with dirtweed seeds, dont overwater, dont spend lots of money on fancy colored nutes, read the basics on this site and others and most of all you have to love what you are doing. You cant be discouraged all the time. Your plants will feel your bad vibes. Encourage your plants and talk to them. Tell them they are gorgeous and you love them. Your grow will be great, you will be proud of your babies and you will take baby steps

Best luck

What the fuck am I going to do with 44 lbs of azomite?

I would love for someone to post a legit website that will ship all of the amendments Mr. Subcool uses. I can get roots for fucking 35 $ a bag FMFL!! and light warrior for 28.... I have to drive 2 hours one way to get it though!! but its worth it rather than shipping ( kinda) I want the amendments that the fuckheads at losers I mean lowe's don't have. MG bone meal, Fuck that guy who didn't even know they had it. would;t use it anyway but fuck that guy! Dick head Lowe;s associate...what a tool!!! ps closest home depot is 2 hours 1 way.. so going to get stuff for me is a pain in the ass! Ive got lowes, wally world, and nurseries that only sell flowers--never heard of anyone selling the shit i am asking about....

I grow for the dome and making 1 batch of soil will last me forever especially if am to "layer it".... I am trying to use at most 48 gallons of soil total meaning around 20-60 % of that being super soil.. Note: I live downtown in my shitty city so mixing will take place in living room ..I haven't used super soil, but i want to use super soil, the idea behind the 20-60% is increasing it until I find what works for me.

I just want to grow some Down to Earth Dank like Subcool...And I fucking love bubble hash! Im a fucking weed nerd man who has to grow in a closet! FML I want some 600's and some fucking amendments shipped to my door...

This is what i Should have posted>>
you are not stupid, you probably live in a place just like me, where most people don't grow. NOT 1 hydro store in my entire state!!! seriously.... and people don't grow veggies they grow fucking chickens, chemically juiced chickens the size of a Volkswagen beetle. oh, and my soil is filled with clay rocks and bad stuff like tires and oil from the polluting hicks all around me. so if you happen to find a good place to order Mr. Subcool's amendments please let me know!

thank,
Jutah

This is not what I was looking for....^^^^^^sorry

This is what i was looking for..... http://waytogrow.net/store/category/6/95/Down-To-Earth-Organics/

^^^plus some roots and light warrior a ginormous bag of azomite that ill just sit beside my tv in my apartment because i have all kinds of storage space??? no...ill go with 9 dollar bag because shipping a 44 llb bag probably a bad idea and very $$$ this is why it is worth it for me to drive 4 hours for a few bags of roots>>> 6 bags of roots and 4 bags of light warrior....(4 roots/2LW's for SS and 2 roots/2LW for base)

^^^sound good? great!

Note: as far as organic goes what is the point if it ships 2500 miles??? the point is dank weed!!! I would like to be able to find and use local ingredients but worm castings is about the only thing i can get.... and in my neck of the woods people get suspicious very fast when u start asking about soil amendments... you can't even buy mason jars without people asking you what they are for, and this is at the end of summer when you are supposed to be buying mason jars ( canning veggies duh)....

there are no organic farms at the farmers market in my town, only "practicing" organic farms, thought i would throw that out there.

Conclusion: ordering amendments and long drives to make a dank soil recipe distributed by a trusted and respected grower sounds like it is worth it to me. I am even going to mix it up in a tarp in my living room and letting it cook via window sunlight! deals..... and thanks for the help guys!

Dude, don't mix super soil in your living room. All the dust from the guano and shit is going to go everywhere and that shit is not good to breathe in. Plus, it's gonna make a mess. Do it outside or in a garage if you can.

yeh I am working on it..... it just may look strange going out in front of the office buildings, there are no houses where i live, just condos and offices, imagine a city down south where most people hate MJ, no hydro stores, and def not a good attitude toward MJ or anything associated with it.....where i am from people put MJ at the top of their "hate" list .... and mixing soil..... the lawyers in the their offices will prob be like hmmm wtf is he doing out there? but maybe ill do it in the night time like a ninja and then drag the tarp up my 3 flights of stairs to cook in my living room, as long as the security officers who watch the buildings at night don't see me ill be fine.....when it is done i am going to store it in a rubber bin out of sight and out of mind in a wardrobe i am getting from ikea to store all my grow stuff in my bedroom. MY girlfriends parents visit often and they would not be cool if they knew what was up.... it would be epic bad, the have oaths to uphold... but it would also be epic bad if i started mixing soil in my apartment and stuff everywhere!! yah good idea to mix outside..

i've actually mixed up a batch in a big plastic bin before. I scaled down the recipe for a smaller batch. Worked pretty well. But yeah, do it at night under a new moon, that'll be the darkest.

It's a shame what happened to Pappas and Bodhi, Johnny.

if you wet it down a bit the dust problem is eliminated
