Where can I medicate?

Good morning my Michigan Peeps!!! My wife and I both have our cards. We also have 3 kids ages 7, 3 and 2. We do not smoke in our home because of them and the fact that we have new carpet and paint. Maybe the occasional vape in the bedroom but that is very very rare. We have a ranch on an acre with neighbors on each side.

My question is am I permitted to medicate on my property wherever I wish? For instance, yesterday I rolled one and smoked it on my deck. The wind was blowing the smoke towards my neighbors open patio screen door. I'm sure she smelled it. Am I within my rights to medicate openly on my property? What does the law say about this?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have to keep it out of sight. Even on your own private property.

You don't have a tool shed or garage you could step inside to medicate?

Personally, I don't think medicating openly is a problem at all, I could care less if someone does. But the law or your neighbor might feel differently about it.

We usually go to the garage to smoke. But it's so hot out there now. My grow room A/C vents out to the 2 car garage (for now). Besides, I'd much rather kick back and medicate properly, looking out at my land instead of staring at my messy work bench.

One acre lot is pretty large..I bet they can't see anything..

Yeah....I can walk out to the rear of the yard and smoke and probably be fine. For instance, we had rain all afternoon yesterday here in SE MI. I have a gazebo type fixture on my deck right outside my family room. It's easy just to run out and sit under there and smoke and not get drenched.

I'm on 2 acres in SE Michigan and grow outdoors, indoors, and smoke anywhere at anytime... I don't have any kids though.. Plant some green giants ( think they are called that) or pines ..some thing that grow fast on your property line and cut off their view.

Check out those Thuja Green Giants..get em cheap @ 2-3' tall and no more neighbors in a year or 2.

If I could grow along my fence line I would. A bamboo fence would be awesome if it wasn't so invasive. I'd love to grow a medical plant out on my back 40.
